Nice video,it makes photograhping a rituel.taking preparations for half a hour just too take one picture.I like that.,remembers me my time taking pictures whit my Hasselblad.now whit my Canon 5D2 everything is a lot differend.bud that has his one sharmess.
i shoot digital and large format..the digital can be equally painfull if you press a wrong button on the menu....but every one should know you set up the shot 1st then put the model in so theres only focus to worry about
Really beautiful looking, and quite funny. Although I was confused by the ending. The joke is that it took so long for the photographer to mess with the camera that the model got up and left, but then when the polaroid is revealed apparently he DID get a shot off, so that kinda undid the humor. Now if the last shot was of an empty bench, THAT would be the better punchline.
I have always loved large format unfortunately my wallet does not, it has to still be the ultimate camera to use nothing but nothing comes close to these fantastic cameras prespective control lenses are a joke compared to what you can do with these.
If I won the lottery my first purchase would be a Gandolfi 10X8 ( probably in americain walnut with nickeled brass fittings, a half a dozen lenses including a f3.8 Delemear and a fully fitted darkroom . No harm in dreaming is there.
Wow, not even close. Large format only takes this long if you have no clue what you are doing and are fiddling with stuff randomly. You show the photographer fiddling with all kinds of features that you would not use for a portrait like this, and adjusting them back and forth to extremes.
Shooting a 4x5 portrait takes barely anymore time that any other format. You spend way more time getting the person seated and posed than taking the actual photo and you have to do that regardless of format

@jsebastiengelinas I'm not sure , but I think it's a Shen Hao ,
It's a low cost Chinese chamber , very good quality/price .

I all to often see people spend WAY more time than this fiddling with the menus and settings on a DSLR in order to take a portrait.
