it was such a wonderful video. i know how you feel when you have to pretend and pretend so the world can feel comfortable. just like you i became tired and came out. i just want to be me. you continue to be who u are.
I'm a little confused, if being a transsexual is genetic, how would a transsexual express their urges to be feminine in a time before, sex specific clothes, such as the stone age? blood stained pink fur maybe :-)
I feel it's a human condition to search for something that doesn't exist, I just hope people realize that a change is not always for the better. Sometimes you have to live with the cards your are dealt with.
Thought your film provided good insight into one person's struggles with sexuality. I wish her the best in life. And thank you both for having the courage to offer this to the universe.
Since I got a private viewing of The Wake, you already know my opinion. I just wanted let everyone else who may take a moment to view this video know how truly AWESOME IT IS.
Dear Jamie, thank you for a very Touching Expose of your transition. At 53 and knowing about my true gender since the age of 2, I have taken the first steps in revealing my true gender to my Family and some friends. I have started my Transition and will not look back. I Salute you, and God Bless. Louise.
I think you mislabeled this. It should be the story of a transsexual female (and not a transgender male).
Of course, these kinds of documentaries (complete with the subject putting on Makeup" are a dime a dozen. Too bad you weren't able to move away from those artificial embodiments to more criticial issues facing trans people.
This is the story about Jamie, telling the audience what pain she endured. This portion was a snapshot of her life and struggles. Not dime a dozon. but her POV. Are you a filmmaker also? If so, hit me up... let me see what you'er talkin about. I agree there is so much more to get to ... but that take pealing away layers to get to it. anyway, I will be posting a follow up and perhaps this will give you more. Regards_BDF

Some comments are missing; were they deleted? There was nothing wrong in them...I also saw one a "continued" comment...
