I missed a step towards the end, but then once I got that figured out it worked!! Woo Hoo I have the Black Eye Peas as my ringtone now. This app is so AMAZING!!! LOVE IT and I'll use it a lot now that I have the hang of it. For those of you who can't get it…..keep watching the video. It's not the developers….but you. You're probably missing a step like I did.

It does appear complicated but stick with it. After you have downloaded the app to the iphone, follow the video . Remember to save the tune you want to a place easy to find i.e the desktop. Drag from desktop to ringtones on ipod, open this folder and drag tune unto ringtone folder on iphone. No need to sync and lose everything just drag it.

You don't have to do the step where it says to sync ringtones where itunes says it will delete everything. Once you get to that step you can skip it and go to the next one. Just did it, works great!

@Oxfordberry No I removed the application and downloaded RMaker which was free. It goes through the exact same process and it works. Emails I sent to the desginer about the fault had bounced back unanswered.
After that, what u dragged before for the homescreen,drag it to the Library section of iTunes, (the first one on top, where is music, etc), it should create a new one saying Ringtones, and thats where your custom song will appear.
once its there, drag it again to your iPhone section and let it sync, it will create another section saying "Ringtones" , thats it.
to use your ringtone, go Definitions-Sounds-Ringtone" it will be a new section saying "Custom Ringtones" or smthg, sry for my English
I will explain the easy way, i did it at the first time and it worked well, and i had no message sayin i had to delete everything on iphone.
1. Download the App.
2.Select the song you want, and the 30 seconds u want it to play, and let the app do the job, and once it appears that its finished, go to iTunes, on the App Section of your Iphone and in the botton there should be the app with the documents then just do like the video and drag it to homescreen.

I also had to enable "Tones" in Edit > Prefernce > General tab then i had to tick the box for Tones. i has the Iphone 4S. Struggled a bit but got it work :D Thanks mate. So yeah, Drag the tone from your Itunes documents where the tone is saved in, to the desktop. Double click on the file and then the file will place in your itunes. Then the Tones tab will appear :D Then you sync away! Thanks!
Two comments: first, this seems like a bizarre and convoluted way to do things. You create the ringtone ON your iPhone, but have to import it into iTunes, then save to your hard drive, then put it back into iTunes, then back onto your phone? Seriously? Who thought that was a good idea?

fix for the no ringtone tab: go to edit, preferences, then check the box next to ringtones in sources under the general tab.. that should fix everything. :)

Mixed feelings. I've loaded the app bought straight to my iPhone but going to the sync on my PC at ITunes in Manuel config. It goes squirmy and wants to kill my 3200 songs. @ChocolateCoatedLips You probably need to click File and the Click Add File To Library, I did that and it worked. I had to add every single ringtone manually...
this DOES work with the new verizon iphone, worked fine for me
However, for the last step instead of syncing ringtones to load them on your phone, i just did the "drag and drop" method from itunes direct to to my iphone.
Just FYI, if you have your iPhone set to manually update music, instead of going to the ringtones tab and clicking sync ringtones (this will wipe your music), just drag the ringtone from your iTunes ringtone library to your phone, the same way you would add a song to your iPhone. Hope this helps.
This is a very nice APP ! But if you could have instruction about how to delete the ringtone is better because oneday user would like to delete those non-use ringtone.

I bought the app for $0.99. It is well worth the dollar that I spent on it. Really, it is. The app works as advertised though if you follow the link to the video there is nothing there. I had to physically get on the computer and look it up. This app pays for itself the first time you use it and is well worth it. great job blackoutlabs. Great job!

@bootielisious I discovered that with the free version, you have to save the full 30 seconds in order to use the ringtone. Anything under 30 seconds, was no good for me. I hope this helps you.
Well this ap works a treat, absolutely fabulous, I found it easiest to load to computer, then drag straight into ringtones. Great ! Thank god ! At last an easy way to get a decent ringtone ! Thanks chaps ! X
Sounds like you guys had the same problem as me but I was warned it was going to happen. Is your music still on iTunes for you to re-upload? And when you do, are the ringtones still there or do they then delete?
It's ok, it made me laugh! Thanks for the reply, I've now transferred one song as a ringtone, but it won't let me put any more on. I tried selecting them all or one-by-one. Surely you can have more than one custom ringtone?
A quick answer to Flangie: drag your ringtons directly onto the iPhone tab and they will be automatically recognized as ringtones and not as music files. I hope this was helpful.
I've made lots of great ringtones, but when trying to sync them onto my iPhone it tells me that doing this will delete everything else! What am I doing wrong?
Ok so it took me a few times but it works very well. Only thing I would put here is if it didn't load see 1:05. Mark the Selected ringtones and a dropdown window will appear select the ringtones you want in the dropdown then sync. And Wala its in the iphone. I reselected the sync all ringtones there after.
Worked for me. 5 star app. Just remember to copy them from your computer to your iTunes ringtones library, then from your iTunes to your phone. That's how I got it to work right.

my itunes doesn't have a tap for ringtones. does this mean i have an old version of itunes or i can't sync ringtones to an ipod?

Well this ap works a treat, absolutely fabulous, I found it easiest to load to computer, then drag straight into ringtones. Great ! Thank god ! At last an easy way to get a decent ringtone ! Thanks chaps ! X

Sounds like you guys had the same problem as me but I was warned it was going to happen. Is your music still on iTunes for you to re-upload? And when you do, are the ringtones still there or do they then delete?

It's ok, it made me laugh! Thanks for the reply, I've now transferred one song as a ringtone, but it won't let me put any more on. I tried selecting them all or one-by-one. Surely you can have more than one custom ringtone?

A quick answer to Flangie: drag your ringtons directly onto the iPhone tab and they will be automatically recognized as ringtones and not as music files. I hope this was helpful.

Ok so it took me a few times but it works very well. Only thing I would put here is if it didn't load see 1:05. Mark the Selected ringtones and a dropdown window will appear select the ringtones you want in the dropdown then sync. And Wala its in the iphone. I reselected the sync all ringtones there after.

Worked for me. 5 star app. Just remember to copy them from your computer to your iTunes ringtones library, then from your iTunes to your phone. That's how I got it to work right.

This app is amazing! One try and I've got ringtones of Single Ladies, Legs, and Ain't No Rest for the Wicked. I've always had so many ringtones I've wanted on my phone, and now I can have them. Now if only I could choose my own message tones....

This app is perfect. Everyone that is trying to sync it, you need to set your iPhone to manually manage music and vídeos, then you don't have to sync, you can just drag the ringtones into your phone.

It occurs to me that this app would probably be better as a desktop app given the need for a computer to use the ringtones anyway. I know you probably have you hands tied by Apple on this one.
