I was at the Uptown show here where Bob started out on his knees in the dark playing a drum with a few other fellas. This was the craziest thing ive ever seen to date. amazing
I believe you saw him the year before - 1978, when he did a show at the same place. He started the show with a song called "As Long Rastafari Call" which inlucdes a lot of bongos. Cool story!

Was there.. I was a junior in High School. Crazy friends had a spare ticket and I went and I never heard of him!. It was the best show I think I ever seen. What I remember was that there was maybe no more than a couple of hundred people at most ( how much did that tiny theater hold?) and the crazy chicks going up and down the isle with the wild turbines (chichiquita banana stuff) and tube tops on. I WILL NEVER FORGET THE MAN AND THE MUSIC!
