That's badass, I got my dad a Springfield just like the one he had in Vietnam and a t-shirt that says... Woodstock? (then it has a picture of an m-14 under that and says) this is the only Woodstock I remember...

Classic video boys, I just loved the reaction on Mr Thompson, what a dream come true for your dad. I'd like to think this happens all over our country on Christmas Morning.

Haha..just like me when i got my Browning BPR 300magnum pump action rifle...my niece has ne of those rifles in a 300 savage..ther are very nice guns to look at and use...they dont hardly kick...Great gift to your father
..and it has a very solid locking system, far more stable than the back-locking bolt actions of its time. Very clean and doesn't pick up grit and twigs much. A handsome, sturdy gun that outshoots almost any other lever action. I miss mine.
Rated in Field and Stream magazine as number 35 of the "Best 100 Rifles Ever Made" due to its unique rotary magazine which set it apart from all other tube magazine lever actions.... This allowed for a pointed round instead of a dull ball round.
What great kids!
