How indestrucitble is the Elmo? For instance my cocker spaniel has inherited a discarded Tickle me Elmo that has proven the best "dog toy" ever. He can not tear it up after 2 years of trying. He did rip the paws a little, but it still works. Any other stuffed toy usually lasts a day.

the sound of it moving is creepy. so is a kid puts his hand in elmos mouth when it's opening and closing, will it hurt?

The microphone of my video camera makes it sound worse than it is, since it doesn't record much bass. I doubt a kids hand would get hurt by it but that's just my opinion of ourse.
