this moments made wwe the greatest, eddie winning the wwe title and chris with world title=best champs, cena winning the wwe title and orton as world champ=jokes of world champs
It might mean something to a guy like Punk and Miz to win it, but it changes hands so often and we've had two, and even three when ECW was around, that it means nothing.
eddie guerrero and chris benoit embracing each other is perhaps the most poignant moment in recent wrestling history, especially considering its significance after everything that occured in the intervening years.
My favorite entrance music to hear when ever I would watch wrestling. These 2 guys were the best of the best that never got what they deserved. Don't hold Benoit's last action in your memory, hold the memories you knew him for and loved to watch him for. I miss both of these guys every time I watch wrestling. It really hasn't been the same since they left. I can't remember the last time seeing someone win a championship was so exciting and welcoming. RIP Eddie! RIP Benoit and your family!
i wonder if eddie wouldnt have died would he still have eddie to tlk to him n let him knw everythin was goin to be okay... RIP too the 2 most underrated wrestlers who deserved so much more then wat they got... its sad it took death for people to c tht
This was my first Wrestlemania as a kid. Man looking back at this gives me goosebumps and wrestling never does this to me lol. You could feel the emotion.
Even Thou Nobody Like John Cena Doesn't Mean Yall Say Take Him And Bring Back Eddie And Chris We Miss Them But They In A Better Place So Don't Say Somebody Should Be Dead Cause You Don't Want That To Happen To Youuu
fuck wwe for not even mentioning benoit anymore i know what he did was wrong but he's still one the greatest wrestler in the world and he deserves to put in the hall of fame
The reason this was so awesome was because the crowd and all the viewers who knew about the careers and friendship of Benoit and Guerrero knew that their emotion was real. It was not John Cena doing his "this is all I got", choked up voice bullshit. I have watched wrestling since I was a little kid in the 80s but it is so hard to watch now. It's sad but I do not think we will ever see the kind of matches that we saw in the 90s and early 2000s. RIP Benoit and Eddie.
Who would have known... that 4 years later... :( I am almost crying just thinking about it. Who would have thought that a mear 4 years later both those amazing men would be dead? WM 20 ended at 1:43 with the two biggest names in the company standing there raising hands. I just think that nothing can top that, ever...
@xxheartxfallenxx They can't keep the same talent forever and can only go to the well creatively so much. You're just unappreciative of the work they are doing.
Not only is this the greatest moment in WrestleMania history, but also the greatest moment in WWE history. A moment like this will never happen again, unfortionatly for WWE this moment does not even exist:(
its more sadder watching this when they're embracing while sad music is playing, i dont feel anything while the Theme Music is on. :/ but like in tribute videos shit i almost cry.
I miss these guys like crazy :'( R.I.P Eddie and Chris
@elijahhandley Yes, buh this is benoits moment... let him get the credit as well... and not to forget what a match that was,,,,, 3 legends giving everything they had! I miss these days :(
The only two professional wrestlers, note, not sports entertainers, PROFESSIONAL wrestlers, in WWE whom I had any respect for.
With their deaths, I opened my eyes and saw WWE and its owners for what they really are, and stopped watching it. CM Punk has made me watch WWE for the first time in five years. I now follow ROH.
This was the only moment in WWE, to me, that really mattered to professional wrestling. I honestly hope those two are in heaven now. Thank you, Chris, and Thank You, Eddie.
This is the last time that someone winning the championship actually mattered to me. It seems like it's just a belt people pass around now. You could see in Benoit's face that it meant something to him too.
@MrFranciscodude dont u cry! dont u dare cause ul make me cry!. benoit was my fav man. i stoped watchn wrestlin atfter them. n u cena fans, meet that guy in real life, he a douch, me n my marine budys have n he wasnt nice to us at all. he all bout the camera time....
@DNME87 I know right these were some of the greatest moments I loved stuff like this until like 05 then things just weren't the same. i mean they lost all those guys benoit's gone jericho currently not with wwe and angles in tna.
@DNME87 Jericho was okay but he was better face I understand you there he's an okay heel but just not like before. wrestler were seriously underestimated as of late the names you mentioned should of the been catapulted to that level of stardom but wwe just wastes them they need to get that stick out of their asses and use people correctly thats why they lose people to tna. Tna may not be that good they do try they need to get that vince russo out and maybe they can do something.
@DNME87 I know what you mean but Tna is still in infancy and it needs some serious help but at moments its decent and they need someone over there to guild them they may have hogan but he's sort of washed up. You can't blame Tna for trying maybe they will make it. They still can go hardcore though I mean I think that's what they were getting at lately and last year. Who knows if WWE screws up Tna could be cleaning up the mess.
I followed Benoit's career since his days in Japan. I hate to admit it, but when Benoit won that belt and Eddie came to the ring I actually had a tear run down my cheek.
chris benoit is still my world heavyweight championship in heaven and eddie would still be eddie he is still my fave so that means both r still champions in heaven
this was what got me to me hooked on wrestling. before i just thought it was all fake drama and fights. this made me realize how much sacrifice pro-wrestlers have put in. and how the industry is built on passion and determination. thank you chris benoit. you're still one of my idols.
I think people tend to forget that Chris Benoit won this very same title back in 2000, in WCW, when he fought Sid on a WCW PPV. WWE sure likes to pretend that didn't happen and acts like this is Benoit's first World Title win... bullshit.
@GamingPalooza They are none the less recognized as two different titles. Two different histories. When they are officially recognized as two different titles, it's moronic to refer to them as the same
It may be recognized as "two" different titles towards WWE and their fans, but that's because McMahon pretty much raped WCW once he bought it. Who are you shitting... who is WWE shitting... that is the WCW World Title... no one can denie that. WWE took the WCW World Title and branded their own name on it, it's the same damn title. When benoit won this title back in 2000, it was just as good.
today a world heavyweight championship can goes to a mid-card wrestler while wwe championship still on the top card guys and guys like jack swagger have won cm punk have 3 regions of WHC i don't say that he didnot deserve that he should have 1 region and he can get another region after sumtime
today a world heavyweight championship can goes to a mid-card wrestler while wwe championship still on the top card guys like jack swagger have won cm punk have 3 regions i don't say that he didnot deserve that he should have 1 region and he can get another region after sumtime
They both deserve it two of the best wrestlers that ever lived. That was the last great Wrestlemania in my opinion. I swear half these dude they have thier now. Don't even deserve a shot at the Heavyweight title
JR's commentary during this was amazing. He really gave it that much more importance. "BENOIT IS LIVING HIS DREAM! FINALLY, FINALLY, BY GOD FINALLY CHRIS BENOIT HAS BECOME HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THIS WORLD!!!"
This moment sends shivers down my spine seeing two great friends embrace after literally travelling the world over in there quest of major champiosnhip gold, both acheiving this was great, RIP EDDIE, RIP BENOIT
I once to a PPV and i saw when chris benoit defended his world title agianst triple hhh and he beat him by tapping out that was kool...... R.I.P Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero
Wrestling is supposed to be scripted but damn you can't script something that beautiful. Greatest moment not just in Wrestlemania History, but WWF/E history IMO.
Jus seeing Eddie in the ring when Benoit turned around was AWESOME..Sharing a moment like that with your best friend and both holding GOLD was by far 1 if not the best moment of WRESTLEMANIA..Very Heart felt.
This was such a touching moment. Considering how hard Eddie worked to get back after falling so far down with his addictions and Benoit working hard for how many years to win that title. Both were so good in WCW but never got that break. This was the "we did it" moment and it was the best. Good memories.
Wow JR is great here he made me and many around the world believe this was big.bigger than life...wow great job rip both eddie and chris

and i dont get why WWe wrestler move to TNA.

Wrestling is supposed to be scripted but damn you can't script something that beautiful. Greatest moment not just in Wrestlemania History, but WWF/E history IMO.

@ForceOfElite24 i think you should not compare rock and austin with benoit and guerrero
austin and rock are enterteiners
benoit and guerrero are real wrestlers

This was such a touching moment. Considering how hard Eddie worked to get back after falling so far down with his addictions and Benoit working hard for how many years to win that title. Both were so good in WCW but never got that break. This was the "we did it" moment and it was the best. Good memories.

JR makes this moment sound even better than it is if thats possible
