I bought this LP when it first came out...Loved Amie and all of the bands songs...I just loved this band all the while listening to Hard Rock most of the time...STONES, ZEP and FLOYD...now new country radio is playing the music of kids whose parents were PPL fans...Just great...
@Lordismyportion Just checking in, hope everything is going ok. How about current events in bible prophecy. I think Iran gets hit this weekend. Europe's crumbling and the US is becoming a shadow of itself. Fertile ground for a new world leader, wouldn't you say?
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OLD DUDE IN THE PHOTOGRAPH? DID ANYONE EVER GIVE HIM A RIDE? I'M VERY CONCERNED ABOUT HIS WELL BEING. PLEASE HIT THE THUMBS UP BUTTON IF YOU KNOW WHERE HE IS. THANKS 4 YOUR SUPPORT!
@HEARTHEANGELSVOICES We had dinner together just the other night. It was tequila chicken as I recall. Wait, no I remember we drank tequila and then ate chicken. That's it.
@abrevaderci1 Thank you so much for your concern. No, I have not lost my faith. However, it was never faith in any person, only in the Holy Bible. All the info concerning the dates have come from the bible.
@Lordismyportion Strike II. Harold camping is a false profit. and is wrong again. You can't come up with dates out of the bible for an event that distinctly says "no man shall know the time.. But only my father in heaven. Hey I believe in dating past events in the bible, like in the book of daniel. Regarding the coming messiah. But to predict the rapture. A lot of people have really gotten hurt spiritually, financially, and emotionally. So you still think his dating is of God? God Bless.
@Lordismyportion It may be the end of some things, but not the end of the world. Enjoy your life and the portion that God has given you. Many false prophets out there.
@abrevaderci1 Well its October 26th. And the rapture or armegdon. is still in the future some time. I get so sad, when the cults come out and trouble believers Lord is in control. God bless.
I've listened to this song for twenty plus years and I never tire of it .Especially all of the AWESOME lead and steel guitar work !! PPL was agreat band that never received their proper acknowledgement....but many fans of 'em still do!
Part of me believes this is the best album ever. I literally wore out side 1 it was so good, and then I turned it over and discovered the other side. Just great music, a great album.
thank you thank you thank you for uploading this!!!
got to be my favorite of theirs. and to the dude who thinks garth brooks voice would be better i would like to know when the last time you cleaned your ear was?
I just discovered this band yesterday after finding a link to some Poco music.
This song and the album bustin out is amazing. Im a 47 year old aussie and i cant remember anyone ever mentioning this band before. How exciting to discover something that feels new but ironically is 37 years ago.
If i was a muso this is what id be writing and playing.
@rushbeat14 Are you familiar with Falling In and Out of Love/Amie? Probably the only airplay the band got. Great songs. I'm 52 myself and I still marvel at the great music out there waiting to be heard. Just check out Ronsons version of this song.
Awesome, it's been about 30 years since I heard this. I had a poster of the Bustin Out cover on my living room wall (6ftx6ft). Did a few shrooms with a friend and that cowboy came off the wall and danced all night.( not an endorsement for shrooms , long ago and far far away)
Geeezzeeee ...I had forgotten about this song.........it brought back so many memories of the ex and the problems we had, but we did have fun in so many places including bed and all over the house....still miss that woman...where are you ZAN????
yeah Bustin Out is good all they way through. IMO one of the best albums ever. always liked Mick too. he did the strings on Call Me Tell Me. its not on youtube another great song off that album though Angel and falling in and out of love/amie. i dont think anyone I've ever played PPL for hasn't liked them.
No cause for shame; after all, there's a Ronson connection with this song...as listed on the "Bustin' Out" (orig. "Angel No.9" album) credits. Both versions are great...classics...and well worth listening to!
P.S. - By the way, I first heard Angel No.9 when Mick Ronson's solo album "Play, Don't Worry" came out; after which, I looked at the credits and saw Craig Fuller had written it...I bought "Bustin' Out" (ASAP), just to hear the original version!

Gees, I hope Lordismyportion didn't lose his faith over the false profit he listened to. Now we have a redo. Armegedon is on for Oct 21st.

I could see Garth Brooks doing a remake of this song. His voice would be perfect, and possibly better.

I think I've listened to this song 110 times since last year, it stirs the same feelings every time. Gotta be my PPL favorite.

I use to love it when Ronno did LEAVE MY HEART ALONE live ! Mick was a friend to everybody ! A great guitarist and a great human being !
Bintshovel 2 years ago
Mick Ronson plays lead guitar (uncredited) on this one. He also arranged the strings (credited) on 'Boulder Skies'.
BCK 2 years ago
Wish Boulder Skies could get back on you tube. This is a great tune with great guitar work!
lvmhe44 2 years ago
@BCK
He didn't. He played some accoustic guitar and harmonies, and he DID do some string arrangement and production, but the guitar is all Craig Fuller.
