  • I dont think i would walk away from this machine just set there buy a drink and stare at it O,O

  • dude, if this vending machine was put here in brazil it dont would dure 1 day. would get destroyed, stolen and..... they would steal the whole amchine to sell its pieces O_O

  • LOL, racist vending machines....

  • @bigtoepfer why racist?

  • @jackestripador01 it will use a camera to match customers demographics. Display certain items to certain customers.

Basically its going to watch what customers buy and create stereotypes. Then if you walk buy and you look like a customer who bought something before its going to recommend it to you. That's what I took away from the video.

Possibly racist isn't the word here. Maybe the word I was looking for was discrimination. It was late and I was tired.

  • Who's willing to clean the display?

  • The next step to being more lazy

  • You can't by alcohol, when you look young then?

  • Sooooo, IPHONE 5, MADE OF GLASS. Apple should figure out how to do this with color. lol

  • O_O

  • this is why i love Japan

  • louco pra karalho

  • they've should've made this for tvs, computers, tablets, and etc. also. That would be a win. :)

  • 삼성의 것보다 딸려보인다..ㅇㅅㅇ

  • kinda waste electricity.. what if the price of earning is much lower than electricity bills.. lol..

  • JAPAN WIN

  • ถ้าทำให้กระจกด้านๆ หน่อยจะดีมาก แบบนี้แสงสะท้อนเยอะเกิน ดูไม่ค่อยออก

  • Big brother knows what drinks you are purchasing.

  • @crook3d I dont mind that

  • LCD's are actually all see through, its the backlight system that makes it a one direction view only.

  • @707upsidedown it's OLED. Not LCD

  • i was hoping for it to transform....

  • @islclr96isaac Don't feed the trolls.

  • Centuries of advantage...

  • My 18YO son got fired from his job at a local leisure centre, unfairly IMO. It was just because of a funny trick he played with a vending machine there.

He actually put a live rat in the bottom compartment, which obviously scared a few people when they attempted to retrieve their cans! Unfortunately a guy in his 60s got bitten, leading to an infection which left him in hospital over Christmas- BUT he should have taken more care. My boy can hardly be blamed for his susceptibility to infection.

  • @SuperTruth77 Hope your son gets sued.

  • wow the transparency on this sure beats the hell out of the 40% transparent laptop screen I saw

  • good selling strategy can become addicted to some people compulsive buying.

  • this machine WILL NEVER BE in America 'cause alot stupid people couldn't decide what to get when other people are waiting on line.

  • Can it run Crysis?

  • did he say al quaeda electronics? 0:10

  • Comment removed

  • It's gonna be really costly when the drink gets stuck

  • Sandy bridge? My poor AMD 6 core... :(

  • It's not as efficient as a conventional vending machine. I can picture these inside areas of business, or inside malls, not outside. And it must cost a lot to replace the LCD and touchscreen :L

  • Why not amd?

  • lol they take getting a drink for a machine to a whole new freaking level you could probably play video games online on that thing XD

  • epic

  • Asians...

  • @bifiao Just say Japanese... They're the ones who made it...

  • Looks like a huge waste of electricity to me.

  • Imagine what those vending machines could be programed to do? Say there is a criminal on the loose and they're having trouble catching him. Those vending machines could be programed to recognize and alert authorities if properly done.

  • Japanese. Period.

  • but can I masturbate while using it?

  • the Japanese did it again...

  • Facial recognition for a vending machine to help select products for the consumer's demographic? There's something that will never be worth the extra cost.

  • This is so retarded I have to comment on it again. Ok, let me get this straight. They covered up the alphanumeric lettering on the actual products behind the glass, installed a touchscreen interface so you can "browse" the product (you know, because you just cant look through the glass at what you want to find) and installed an HD camera? Oh yes, yes.. thank you for the product code, I shall now push these buttons on the side to get my product that is covered in white paper. Wtf?

  • SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

  • man as if the line at the vending machine at school isnt long enough already. this will effectively make it a circus.

  • That will never last here in America - Once the first twinkie gets stuck, that display is history.

  • @HorrorVintage you got that right!

  • Can't wait to see it tagged :)

  • I have a feeling that the whole demographic thing could be unintentionally sexist lmao

  • Nice concept, but wouldn't it consume lots of electricity?

  • "Oh my god, there's a fire! how do we get out?!?!"

    "Check the vending machine!!!"..

  • this is why America loves japan

  • somebody left the keys in the lock , just open the door and grab what you want

  • So... if a black guy stands in front of the machine does it recommend Koolaid?

  • @NoobsAreUsh and chicken

  • @NoobsAreUsh if an asian guy stands in front of the machine..it would recommend tea

  • I thought this was needless as well...until it got to the point where it could display emergency evacuation plans. Now that I think about it, this could also be used in such applications as Supermarket Directories as well.

This really is quite innovative, it could also be used as a scrolling news board if necessary, like rolling stock tickers or headlines.

  • Not gonna happen in Indonesia. Cause, if there was one in Indonesia, it will gone in half day XD Anyway, this could be a new vending machine that wil be very interesting to watch

  • intel HD sucks balls .

  • I think this is really cool. Sure, it does make getting to the objective a little slower but it's interactive and fun. I reckon people these days just need more cool machines like these.

  • increase the interactivity between people and dead machine, why no good?

  • What isint touch screen these days

  • Japan, create a time machine because I have wasted 104 seconds of my life here

  • Why?!

  • Look at the date in the description. 17/11/2011. WTF month is 17?

  • @itsMinuteMaid Its day/month/year not month/day/year.

  • @itsMinuteMaid You must be American

  • @itsMinuteMaid LOL this is why American's are stupid.

  • @itsMinuteMaid

    *Facepalm*

ONLY an American could give such a response. Only place in the world that uses month/day/year. Combine that with general ignorance of the outside world...

  • @zearfox ok then enlighten us on how you have a more vast know of the "outside world" what is going on with those turks

  • @1442899

For starters, I know that outside of the United States dates are typically formatted day/month/year. I also know both metric and imperial units. Furthermore, I aced geography and keep up with current events around the world. Did you know US Oil Production is actually rapidly climbing, and by 2017 the US could be producing more oil than it's supposed "peak" back in 1970?

  • @itsMinuteMaid you can't seriously be this ignorant?

  • @itsMinuteMaid , Countries other than america or a lot of them place the day in the first slot and the month in the second.

  • @itsMinuteMaid its november 17, 2011

  • Nothing special. Every TFT screen and touch screen is transparent. You can't see that in the screen on your desk because of diffusing lenses etc.

  • All of there "futuristic" transparent displays have the same flaw. The objects in the background make the screen difficult to read. This is just an LCD panel with no backlight. The only way to make this type of screen useful would be to add a backlight, which would defeat the purpose of the concept.

  • why would you break the display?? thats way i would steal.

  • @RuberSocks how the hell would I know ?

I'm not an economic analyst , at least not yet

  • Another place for companies to put their ads for crap I don't want, and even better, they can spy on me and classify me into a demographic while I decide if I want to buy a vacation, bottle of wine, or a Pepsi. You know they're eventually just going to start implanting chips in everyone's brains. They've been talking about it for years. You know they want to... then they can just feed all of the advertising right into your subconscious... ahh happy happy joy joy.

I am not a number!!! sigh

  • @MyMartianNameIskzjz what kind of an idiot are you? O.o

  • @MyMartianNameIskzjzt the fuck is wrong with you, go eat a boat.

  • The guy Sounds like if he's falling asleep and the women sounds like she had too many red bulls.

  • I wish they make topless lap dancers vending machines

  • it's so awesome

  • they have something similar in Japan already. Except here the touch screen thanks you and smiles.

  • Is it a touch screen or a 'wave screen'?

  • What the hell is the point to a touchscreen interface if you still have to push analog buttons to get what you want?

  • @mlopinto2k1

It looks awesome, and even if you didn't want to buy something you might buy it anyway so that you can marvel at how awesome it is.

  • @bogueji1 You must be stoned.

  • @mlopinto2k1 for more information? lol

  • @mlopinto2k1 More information....

  • @mlopinto2k1 to make money, if you have more questions, feel free to see me after class son

  • @llz22 No thanks, Dad.

  • @mlopinto2k1 no son, no

  • @mlopinto2k1 What a derp for the inventor. This is like NASA looking for a pen to write in space instead of using pencils.

  • generalize much

  • Finally, a machine that can be both racist and classist!

  • plus if it has a touch screen why do you have to click numbers to buy a product and not just touch it

  • please make them return change first

  • Now with Active Racism! Misogynistic tendencies in the next update.

  • America can't have such nice things because this country sucks. People here aren't civilized... too much immigrants are ruining this country. we can't be united on a common goal because of diversity and political bullshit. Rock on Japan. Rock on. i'll be watching from the sidelines as my country fall into a shit hole while you progress into the future.

  • Mind Blow #32

  • Is it me or she just speaks way too slow?

  • I'd still rather just pay .25 cent for a Walmart Sam's Club soda.

  • all this for a soda machine?

  • Readability is terrible. Pointless. Instead of all the money spent on this pointless luxury they could of donated the money to poor people starving in Africa and made a real change in the world.

  • Sodas from this machine will b 10 usd each......because of "hi tech" tax.

  • @Borderlands808 No you wouldn't. This is a prototype. You think people made this so they can make a vending machine look "cooler"? Think of it as a billboard that can market over 100 products on a daily basis on a timer which can be programmed into this screen. A lot of money to be made there.

  • thats like combining smartphones with microwaves. they make something that the market doesnt demand.

  • Intel processor cool

  • @AfghanLibre

As opposed to "AMD processor: hot"? hehe

  • Genial

  • Nice concept, but they went WAY over the top with all the little animations & features.

And why is the screen only black? Looks pretty ugly.

  • All this shit just for a drink. If they're gonna make it that high tech, they should at least have an insert for my dick so I can get instant satisfaction.

  • I shutter to think how the panty vending machines will work :\

  • japan get the coolest vending machines

  • i have NO DOUBT, this display will be used to disseminate yet more advertising into my life.

    'YOU MUST BUY!'

  • This machine even dispenses a substance almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea!

  • cool!!

  • Stupid see-thru concept which distract you becou you dont clearly see informations nor the goods you are buying. This doublexposition is worst thing for your eyes and brain.

  • It scans you, so that it can advertise towards your demographic? so this machine is potentially sexist, racist and ageist?

  • I laugh when I seen this, I can't believe in the future were going to be asking what spec vending machines have. Is it a dual core or quad core ? How much ram does this vending machine have ?

  • Intel sandy bridge core?! I thought that thing was suppose to come out next year for COMPUTERS NOT FREAKING VENDING MACHINES

  • is it just the camera angle or the readability is actually that bad?

  • Vending machines already charge tons of money for what they sell. How about we stop making them unnecessarily high-tech, and focus on efficiency?

  • Great!!! Playing Crysis 2 on a vending machine! What next? 3D Display? If so , I will go to the vending machine everyday to watch porn.

  • All this shit so you can get a $1.50 drink... innovation in the wrong direction lol

  • @cosmic2castaway Someone didn't watch the video...

  • @Music1sgreat Actually I did assclown :]

  • im pre sure if it sold beer, everyone would go nuts over it.

  • Holy Asian Batman!

  • How insulting would it be if they started advertising cosmetics to you...and you were male.

  • If the machine had moer then 1000 items then this could be useful, otherwise, waste of implementation... nevertheless innovative.

  • damn the japanese...

  • You could totally make some cool glasses with this technology xD

  • LOL

  • but will it blend?

  • its not like there are 1000 products to choose from in the machine, i dont really need help xd

  • I want one in my kitchen :D

  • got here from vsauce2

  • Vsauce!

  • Cool. It's kinda hard to see, though.

  • @hellaBayAr3a no shit, bro

  • I'm a bit worried about the face recognition feature.

  • Surf on the internet on a vending machine ;)

  • but can it handle a solid push kick ?

  • Now this is the future shit, just hurry up and make it happen.

  • CUSTOMER RECOGNIZED: MALE, 30, OBESE. DISPENSING CHEETOS

  • Transparent monitor display? When the fuck did they invent that?

  • @KMLVIDEOS Samsung invented a little bit ago... xD LOL but it is not that well known.

My question is why are the people not able to place there order though the tough pad for the soda... instead of the keypad?

  • the one thing about japan everything is either blue or white whats up with that?

  • i'm Proud to be Japanese

  • Da série Modernidades do hoje e amanhã! #in

  • Great, my laptop is now inferior processing wise to a fucking vending machine, thanks alot Japan.

  • difficulty level: asian

  • It's pretty cool that we can have transparent displays. I want my visors dammit!

  • You can only have this in a country where the majority of its people are normal civilized human beings that won't break it within a week.

  • @Matackable Yeah which the country will be Japan

  • @Matackable not really. There are already transparent vending machines(not these high tech ones with screens though haha) in hong kong and it's not really like you can break it i mean the glass is pretty hard haha

  • @Matackable it only takes the minority to break it...

  • @Matackable lol

  • So if your black does it come up with chicken and grape juice?

  • uses a monstrous 65 inch transparent HD display "WOW"

  • I don't care to see vines and animations when I'm buying something

  • Imagine all those skin disease transmitted through this touch screen technology...the possibilities are so great..outstanding technology indeed...maybe they will include the vaccine too...anyways its a good idea but needs improving...people or any objects can be seen due to reflection which may lead to poor visibility just like when you are watching TV and the sun light falls on the screen. Voice recognition would make it more interesting....hopefully we will see more improvements.
