  • I prefer virtual DJ to serato actually, although I rather spin with real vinyl

  • This video shows you how to trick Virtual DJ properly.

  • @veezie423 I Don't think the record feature is active or available in the free demo version

  • @pridders dam thats fucked up. im choppin the shit outta these songs n i cant even let yall hear em. i appreciate it tho mane

  • i tired recording a mix buit through my mixer and cdj but the cdjs dont control the cross fader or volum level on virtual dj, how do u record useing cdj's?

  • @timkalow

I think you'll need to ensure the internal mixer is selected (If it's the same as Traktor Pro)

  • Is this the free version?

  • @Z71Ridah - It's the trial version - but this video is about a year and a half old now

  • @pridders Lol yeah i guess im behing a little bit I downloaded the updated free trial im just tryin to get used to it but i like your mixes and nice accent where you from

  • haha you sound like the guy from crank !!! hahaha chelios! haha whats his real name? jason stathan or something

  • Jason Statham LOL

  • virtual dj is the bomb!!!! and as far as aerato..vdj6 got serato faded!!!! I just need to know how to record video

  • No idea mate - I don't use VDJ - ths was just a demo video - VDJ a bit amateur for me, I use Traktor Pro

  • @pridders how do i record the music im mixin from virtual dj? im usin the trial version zulu dj software

  • i actually go to gigs with vdj 6. In those cases I use MIDI controllers, but when i practice at home i use a timecoded setup.

  • i got the same program and its a mess for me still tryi ng to figure it all out.

  • I haven't got this program - this is the demo version I used for this video - VDJ is all a little bit amateur to be honest - I use Traktor Pro and Serato for proper DJ' ing

  • ill check into those other programs thanks alot and see what i can find for the soft ware

  • im shit hot on vdj hehehehehe check out my tunes every mix i done is on vdj

  • i have been vdj for about 3 years love it dos what is seas on the tin

  • Greetings, I just got this software, basically i just wanted to know how to download sound effects. Thank you

  • this is something you AUGHT TO KNOW!

right click virtual dj go to properties and it will show

    "C:\Program Files\VirtualDJ\virtualdj_trial.exe"

take the underscore and the trial writing out and click apply then click ok open vdj and you have virtualdj pro

  • nicee ...!!!

  • 4 stars!!! Would've given 5 but think the last mix was a bit shitty.

  • I had to have another listen following your comment (It has been 9 months since I did this video!) - actually the last mix isn't bad at all - the worst one is white lines into when you touch me

  • rofl...........

  • Lol I can do that xD

Check out my mixes. All by VDJ with no mixer or cjds.

  • LOL - it's not exactly hard to do is it - A trained monkey could use VDJ, in fact an untrained monkey could use VDJ - which is why I moved to Traktor Pro - much more of a challenge - especially as you have to beatgrid your tracks in order to get the perfect mix etc etc - will check out some of your 'mixes' :D

  • I was wondering how can u beat match hip hop and trance, when I beat match, the trance song seem slower so its either more pitchy or slower.. any suggestion

  • in most genre's you count the beats

for hiphop try counting the high sounds like hi hats and snare drums they should be regular (since you can only beatmatch when you match two constant factors

  • thank

  • hé but you can only download the demo for 20 days that sucks men..

  • I agree with you, but that's the name of the game. It is a superb product but also has a price tag to match. If you're not working DJ you might not be able to justify buying it. The cheaper option is to buy the Hercules Mk2 controller (think they retail at around £100) and you get VDJ Console edition thrown in - once you register that, you will be elegible for discount on the full pro version of VDJ if you wish to purchase at a later date

    Cheers

    Pridders

  • hey man im kevin nd i just want to know how do yew burn a cd on virtual dj

  • You can get the code free if you youtube search it

  • It's nice to play around with, not sure I'd use or reccomend if for Mobile Use.

I especially like the feature where the virtual gain controls set themselves to get the volumes equal.

  • what if you have a song with bpm of 114.3, and you hit sync, the next song say has 145 bpm, you hit sync. do that automatically matches the songs or do you still need to do something. and what do the red and blue lines at the top mean.

  • way kewl THANX'

  • Thanks for the comment - I hope to be putting some more Virtual DJ stuff up soon

  • great vid , nice tutorial :)

  • Hey, excellent video. We use VDJ as well as serato. I find they are both great products. VDJ is excellent for the mobile market in my opinion. Its always been stable for us to work from.

Keep up the good work with the vids.

  • I love the history function in this program. After a night of DJING, you can go back and see what you played and even playback the event from that night as well.

  • I Agree, I'll Think Of A Set Of Songs I Did That Night And I Can Go Back And Log It, So I Can Use The Set Again Or Improve On It!
