I like your videos and it's a good thing that you're also showing to Japanese people the culture of America.
it's funny how you always say "You can't learn Japanese by watching anime" (as I did) But you DO have a bit accent even though you learnt it in a proper way ;) though the sad truth is that your grammar is a way better than mine.
Nice videos. I found these through some link for the (terrible) Dragon Ball Z trailer.
I have studied Japanese and lived there for school and work.
I don't get a chance to listen to or speak Japanese much anymore, but I still understood pretty much everything you said and enjoyed the humour! Keep it up!
Is there any difference between fireworks and bonfire? Because I was misunderstanding to use a word ''sympathy''. Someone in lang-8 corrected me using it to ''empathy''.
Mr. Potato Head is a classic toy has been around for more than 50 years. Place a mr. potatohead on one end of a 5-6 foot long steel pipe with a disposable lighter in it. Then you put the pipe in bonfire upright. When the lighter blows up and mr. potatohead launches into the sky like a rocket. You can't go any redneck than that.
Funny you should mention the English. Reminds me of Tony Blair in front of the US Congress on July 17, 2003:
Actually, you know, my middle son was studying 18th century history and the American War of Independence, and he said to me the other day, "You know, Lord North, Dad, he was the British prime minister who lost us America. So just think, however many mistakes you'll make, you'll never make one that bad."
As I studied Japanese, I was taught as a "monotonic language" As I am studying Chinese, a "crazy-tonic" language, I've realized that there are many words in Japanese that can change the meaning by saying it a different tone.
蜂 vs 八 -The first one sound more monotonic, while HA is emphasized when saying the number eight.
It's interesting to see that, it brings back memories from when I was a kid and fireworks weren't outlawed. Almost everywhere I've lived in the past 20 years fireworks were illegal and tents like that don't exist anymore.

日本語は英語と比べたら平板的だけど、まだまだ発音が微妙に違う単語って多いよね。
「売っている」vs「撃っている」
