  • did he march crown in 2010?

  • @meatwad314

    yes

  • how did this guy not win???? lol smh

  • this guy kinda looks like the guy who marched with crown on tenors in 2010

  • @percussivepurcell Lol, I'm pretty sure this is the same guy. And I think he's also amazngdrummr27 and only did it to make fun of the people who think they're good. lol

  • @GP3PocketSnare It is amazingdrummr27. The drum tech at my high school marched tenors with him in 07 for United in WGI,

  • this guy kinda looks like the guy from the hard times of R.J. burger

  • At some point, just for fun, he should've just played 3 4 6 4 3 3 3.

  • 3:26. vanguard tenor ensemble rip

  • Super creative at 1:38. That's awesome.

  • He's center tenor for Crown this year.

  • Is he marching coats this year?

  • dude that casey claw thing he did like made me piss a little

  • I like the little hint of SCV at the end.

  • this guy can easily march BC,CC,or PR

  • @Frickashade I think he is marching crown this year.

  • @aznpwr2 yea i found out after i posted this nd he is marchin crown

  • Jersey Shore, represent!

  • this guy is pretty good is solo was awesome

  • wondering how the fuck this clown beat a bluedevil

  • i thought nick arce won that year..

  • @robertthedrummer1 yeah but he beat Brandon Zackey of the blue devils and Jordan Brooks of the blue knights. somehow..

  • 2:36! beast :D

  • This guys solo at PASIC was good.

  • i def saw some scv tenor ensemble parts towards the end

  • what was the solos title

  • Stroking the Head.

  • Those Mapex drums sound very nice.

  • ..yeah, the title did it

  • it's creative, thats what the judges see

  • i think he loses points for having an immature title.

  • haha

  • @LAKings0101

itz not immature he's actually "stroking the head"

instead of using his tenors as just drums he found a more musical/instrumental way to provide sound by "stroking the head" differently

  • @LAKings0101....I think people listen to like 30 secs. of this solo think omg so innapropriate, but it makes sense when he does thumbs rolls on the head.

  • i'm glad he played the drums like an instruments :) very goood solo!!

  • Very nice... I've seen a LOT of tenor solos. I went to my first I & E in 96. And it's really cool to see somethings I've never seen before. The middle section.. very creative. The claw across the drums. And the underhand flip into trad. I'm totally stealing that!

And, Eric hit A LOT less rims than the guy who placed ahead of him. I'm just sayin'.

Maybe he got penalized for such an unfortunate title.

  • That guy hit all his rims for a reason though.

  • I don't think anybody gets credit for demand if they don't execute it. Rims to me equal non-execution. It's not as though Eric's solo was all that simple.

I am aware that the Devs guy who won had a more demanding solo, but he has to be in the ballpark execution-wise to finish above a solo like this, where the demand was still box 5 (albeit a low box 5), and the execution was much higher.

  • Well, while I do agree with you for the most part, Nick's style is a lot more... jazzy than most. For lack of a better word. And just the way he writes solos, he uses the rims and the drum base as instruments and it works. I'm not going to say he had an absolutely perfect performance, because he did not. But neither did Eric. I think they both did a great job and honestly, I think it really did come down to demand, and Nick had the demand that this guy didn't.

  • I'm not saying this solo is in any way bad because it's awesome, but Arce's solo kicked the shit out of this one.

  • I wouldn't say he lost points. Just didn't get more for not having as risky a solo as Nick's

  • That middles section was way too cool. Props to Eric for think of such a creative groove.

  • What place did this guy get?

  • 2nd

  • Eric, only you could say a title like that without laughing.

  • awhl man, eric techs my drumline at deptford high. hes the man. he taught me everything i know about snare!! haha he also says poop reallylllyyy fuunny!

  • dude this is really good!

  • AHHHHHHHH Eric. you suck!

  • love the scv tenor beat ending at the end (triplets over triple beat)

  • WOW!!!! AMAZING JOB!!! I think you'll have a DCI I&E title under your belt in no time. great great job :D

  • It goes to show that just because a corp isn't in the top 12 they can still have amazingly talented corp members. For most people it's all about location. And this guy, has some of the best Single stroke rolls I've ever seen. Awesome.

  • lol yeah he techs my pit at pitman high school in south jersey. hes not just good at tenors, also really good at keyboard percussion and snare. so funny as well.

  • Awesome! I wonder how he felt to know he place 2nd ahead of BD's center. Not trying to bash, but to me, that's pretty crazy.

  • did he title his solo "stroking the head"?

    lol

  • Yes he did.

  • awesome dude

  • Im so proud of you Eric!!!!

  • Eric is with the Jersey Surf. Scored 96.5 and received 2nd place.

  • good job dude

  • hahahahahahhaa
