I'm working on an arrangement of this classic. I have written in out the way I think I want it to sound. It's just not under my fingers yet. You set the bar kinda high. Your improv is very melodic.
@carvetop01 Allen as far as I know I used the original harmony and used the appropriate inversions. The improv you speak of was based on arpeggios of the same chords. As you so aptly exlplained, like yourself, I do not consider my self a jazz player either. I just love the guitar and beautiful music. If I can offer any assistance with parts of the song let me know. I am glad to share whatever you may like.
@Mpoiuz Hi Uli, On this recording I am using an epiphone emperor, stock pickup, the tailpiece was changed to an ES175 style. The strings are D'Angelico Steel 11-50. The amp is a Behringer K3000 Keyboard amp. The guitar is going thru a Roland RV3 pedal for a little reverb and delay. Regards, Nick
