Wow, it looks like you there were 69 guys out there to move that cannon. Doesn't MIT know that giants walk the earth? But I can only guess that it took, like, 47 mistakes to lose that thing in the first place. Who is in charge of that cannon? He screwed up. Did he consider locking it?
