Because in every sitcom they are called a ratings' grabber. Usually, it's either the breakout character or either the main character making the show. Arnold for Diff'rent Strokes for his Watchoo Talkin' About, Rerun's precisely dances, Urkel's catch phrases, etc. They are most of the time not the main character, but the most memorable because they stoled the show from the other players. That's why most of the time they appeared memorable because we remember them the most. It's common in sitcoms.
I'm not in any way, shape, or form gay, but why does it seem like the women in every T.V. show are the BORING ones and the male characters are what MAKES the show? Every single T.V. show I've ever watched is this way. Silver Spoons, Different Strokes, What's Happening, Family Matters, The Simpsons, the list goes on. There's only a few exceptions such as Boy Meets World and Punky Brewster where the girls were equally entertaining to watch. Why do the MEN alway's steal the show in everything?
This show cracked me up and it still does. rick still looks the same.
