  • I want to ride that horse(:!!!

  • Those of you who are critiquing his riding. Have you jumped 7+? When you have, by all means comment away. if not, you have no idea how the biomachanics of such a feat manipulate the standard/traditional stadium form.

  • This rider broke the world record twice, in 1973 and 1983, and there are people who criticize his style... Come on!

  • W.O.W what a fab team!! :-)

  • I wanna see all you out there saying hes a horrible rider jump this big and we'll see how good your form is. So I'm pretty sure he's a very talented rider.

  • @Rondele45 his horse is talented, if you don't think his body movement is bad then like all the riders today are what useless? sorry but although he may be skilled he is not talented because his movement is not at all in sync with the horse, he moves like he is "chasing" the horse. know what I mean. but yes well done to him.

  • Amazingly talented horse... not the greatest rider, but INCREDIBLE horse!!!

  • yes this horse suffered, not from jumping the jump no ways but from the terrible rider the poor thing had on its back. his whole body movement is ATROCIOUS. he is just lucky he had such an amazing and honest horse.

  • @aimite1992 When you ride over big jumps you have to plant your seat as the horse prapares to take off to help the horse to "coil". There is nothing wrong with this rider's seat at all.

  • @shakeAbooty88 oh I am sorry i didnt realize i said he had a problem with his SEAT!! if i did my bad but what i mean was that his BODY MOVEMENT is a bit vicious don't you think? he moves like he is chasing the horse towards the fence. his seat is fine, in fact its pretty good but in my opinion his movement is too 'aggressive'. compare him to riders like Meredith, Ludgar, Whittikar and you will c they are very still when approaching the fences...

  • @aimite1992 chillax. yea maybe he did do an"agressive"movement. But hes one of the best riders in the world.everybody now and then wil ride badly and i bet you know that,i bet uv done agressive moves sometimes.not everybody rides perfect always.ludger has done agresive moves, meredith also, all those people that go to rolex have done agressive moves.i bet that if u ever jump somethin that high ur going to make even more agressive moves. so please dont say those things, hes an excelent rider.

  • Awesome - lord love Wild Horse Ranch!!! xxxx

  • Amazing!! Beautiful horse! Great rider!

  • Skip to 1:00 for the actual jump.

  • My mom used to work for this man. And she groomed Sweet n Low.

  • @SGbubblez that is so cool r u serious?? wow that is so cool im jealous:)

  • Correction: the world record puissance record was set by Franke Sloothaak in 1991. He jumped 7'10". If you don't believe me, check out wikipedia: search "puissance."

  • @brooklyn1311 and if you knew anything, you CANT trust wikipedia....

  • @brooklyn1311 This was the record at the time. Pedantry is trivial. Accuracy is crucial.

  • hang time.

  • And here it is. watch?v=Fp6ijreRYWU

  • What bred or type was "Sweet & Low" ? Was he an American Thoroughbred ex-race horse by any chance? Or a German or Dutch Sport Horse ?

  • Nick Skelton (GBR) holds the British High Jump record at 7' 7 15/16" also on a grey gelding the German bred Everest Lastic

  • that gave me chills! wow!

  • @theoriginalnoob

Oh, and what horse would this happen to be? And is he/she a mare, stallion, or gelding? The horse would be in the record books...I can look this up!

  • Amazing ride, in my opinion, he should've been lower on the horse's neck while jumping, but I'm not a judge.

  • @Tehsocialite well you talk like one...

  • more like sweet and high!! and good thing anthony's not an equitation rider cuz his canter position drove me insane lol im a hunter/jumper/equitation rider so i was like omg he had way to much upper body movement for equitation but for this its perfectly fine. im not saying hes a bad rider, i mean look at what he just did!! but equitation=not his thing haha

  • @fluteyhorse At this level equitation doesn't matter, It's what gets the job done.

  • @Neonaxii equitation always matters otherwise what he just did was not skill but luck

  • @fluteyhorse thank you, people up there have had the audasity to call his riding good. the movement was wrong. I've been riding for 12 years and i know you shouldn't move like that... mayb it was good for back in the day lol

  • i can jump 9 feet you spastics, you all suck at horse riding

  • @theoriginalnoob1 then why dont you post a video of it? the world record is 8 something, you should go show the world record people, let them be the judge.......

  • @theoriginalnoob1 You're a lying cunt. The current indoor world record is 7ft 10 inches, set in 1991 in by "Leonardo" ridden by German rider Franke Sloothaak. The current outdoor record (over a ramp, not a wall) is 8ft 1in , set at an Official International Jumping Event held at Vina del Mar in Chile in February 1949 by "Huaso", ridden by Alberto Larragiubel.

  • @smartcooky99 you mad brah?

  • @theoriginalnoob1 Yes I know. Down from a wall.

  • @MegRogers123

F you. Anthony is awesome and you have no right to criticize him or his ride. You don't jump that high if you are a crapy rider

  • @almoxclassictouch but he is living proof crappy riders can jump that high. ;) chill just saying his body movement was a but off, I mean does it look that great to you, its NOT the worst but not great ryt

  • im not a believer in jumping great hights like this on my horses but if the horse was suffering he would be lame and would not continue to canter after the jump

  • @benjaminF178 he didnt seem to be suffering at all. hes fit, a good weight, and those ears are up the whole time. not to mention he looks like a fire ball. very springy step

  • @MyRedBoys1 yeah i know, thats exactly what i said to moldypeacemaker. :)

  • @MoldyPeacemaker get over it?? far out did you not read the heading? it was in like the 1980's.... seriously, grow up and stop trying to act as if your all that. for all we know you could be a shit rider.... am not saying you are but still. grow up, so immature.

  • everone can improve on something. there is no perfection. just the nex level. he did amazing

  • @HollyfastMeadows98 Yeh butt hee shouldnt do light seat ! he should give the horse balance and support towards the jump. he is like amazingg though

  • @MegRogers123 You seriously just critized him? I am sure he has perfect Eq. but every rider alters iot when they jump a world record jump!!!!!!

  • @MegRogers123 like you could do so much better..... dont critisize someone who know SO much more about horses and so much more about riding than you do!!!! id like to see you jump 7'7 better than him!

  • Holy Crap

  • OMG !!!!!

  • Wouldnt you love to ride that horse!

    Truly amaazinngg

  • OMG! WOW! That is just AMAZING!

  • this is absolutely amazing. as if he rides like this everyday. probably only ever jump it once!

  • Is is just me or is that a rather large horse?

  • this is amazing!!

  • so you dont think he has ever practise at jumping that high then?

  • @MoldyPeacemaker

no, people never jump that high out of competitions. the maximum height theyd train at is probably 6 feet or a bit more, but not much. and thats rare, what they really work on is the trust between horse and rider so that when they do have a jump like that they can jump it without a problem.

  • wow thats scary the horse is faithful to rider and rider faithful to horse from what i see

  • wow thats a high jump
