To the people who did not like this part of the game at Facade I say this:

At first I thought them to be creative nuisances but then I remembered what Fyra had said when she asked about the rules of Facade to the King. She was told, "rules do not exist to bind you, they exist so you may know your freedoms" When you apply that logic to that dungeon, everything makes sense and you will have a greater appreciate for it.

The realization is mind blowing. Truly my favorite part of the game.

I Just put Easy and start to play... The level of this music is so dumb with ridicolous and nonsense pluzzes. I Tried to play it in Hard but the boss battles takes almost 30min to finish... Evade and Defend should be the same Button... I only use DarkHand... and a lot of other glitches and things.

I agree with everyone else who likes this game, I also highly recommend it. The story is excellent, along with the soundtrack and the gameplay is quite varied. It's easily one of my favourite games of 2010.

This post made me finally rent NieR, even after reading the mediocre reviews. My expectations were low, but man...was I ever blow away.

Sure, their is a lot of fetch quests...but NieR is aesthetically delightful. I dove head-first into the story, and find myself bobbing and weaving in an almost melancholic manner to the music.

NieR is one of my favorite games, and I hope it gets a sequel. Perhaps if they please the critics with better game mechanics, it'll get the credit it deserves.

I can say this'll be a game that'll make you understand, some games are for gamers, and some games are for Game lovers.

This clearly is the second type, and occasional the first type, but mostly the second.

Reviewers generally don't know jack and rate games based on how much new stuff they do and the technical aspects. Example, many people have turned up disappointed with latest CoD, yet reviewers still seem to give it 9/10-10/10. 3D Dot Game Heroes reviewers said was about a 7/10, when it was definitely closer to a 8.5-9/10 according to players(including myself). Only time to notice reviews is when EVERY reviewer says a game is a 3/10 or lower.

I really enjoyed this game. It actually had great characters and an interesting(if a little strange) story. The music really stood out though. The soundtrack was very unique and different songs got stuck in my head as I played it. Plus, this is the only game I know of in which you can DRIFT ON A BOAR.

My ONLY complaint about NieR was the lack of difficulty. However, the gameplay and soundtrack was amazing, and the story was stellar and fun. Easily in my top 5 games of the year, and a true hidden gem.

I watched a friend play this, and it was amazing to watch. It looked very good. I normally don't like vocal tracks either, but this game pulled it off perfectly. I'd buy the soundtrack too if I wasn't cheap. Unfortunately, I still haven't picked it up yet. I'll have to do that soon. I feel like I could spend a good amount of time playing this.
