I remember ((( PROJECT X ))) as a young boy in the SEVENTIES & bought a yellow 210 recently. I went online to get old pictures & saw what they did to my Hero...
You guys fucked it up, got it all wrong & one day we'll tear the car down of all that horseshit you did to it.
I will build mine the way it looked in Hollywood Knights.
Why dont you go & RETRO ROD the 55 from GRAFFITTI? Now you know how STUPID your tranformation IS.
A project manager - seriously? They wasted a lot of time and money considering way better retro customs are born everyday from private custom shops. I think this team is actually years behind the talent that exists in the custom car market. Great mis-allocation of resources from them as usual and continued rewarding of mediocrity.
I agree with the majority of you guys....they really overdid this car and ruined it! It's ugly from every angle. If there's a positive out of all of this, it's that they never got their hands on Bob Falfa's black '55 Chevy in American Graffiti. Long live old school hot rods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
real hot rods have blowers. i remember when they installed the blower back in the late 70's. Long live the original project x. this car is a piece of crap.
I take this is as a slap in the face to the true Hot-Rod spirit. If you want to build something along these lines, all the power to you, just please please don't try to label it as sumthing it will never be.
Fat byas-ply wrapped chrome reverse, real chrome bumpers ahead of a topless blown small block is the only way to do it.
the car in hollywood knights, mines just like it, but without the blower. i'm starting a blown 383 soon, but yeah, that's a BAD!!! car. and to mrich21087...forget an LS7, a blown chevy block, done right, could send a piece of crap LS home crying...go carb, or nothing!
Hot Rod should have kept Project X to themselves and did the work themselves. HotRod should know, Hot Rods are made by people not by the manufactuare! I have followed this car for over 30 years and although it is nice now, it was better when Tony Danza drove it in Hollywood Knights!!!
This car was doing wheel stands dragging the bumper 30 years ago with a blown small block. It was one of the first 57's with a Big Block in it in the 60"s. I believe it has had over 30 engines in it. Now it is a pretty cool driver and the most famous 57 of all.
Ho humm. There are so many other custom 57's out there that this one just does not move me at all. There is nothing dramaticly different about it other than the 427 logo on the front.Try again fellas.
They absolutley RUINED project x . that is a shame on so many different levels its not even funny. Stupid bastards . Chevy has not turned out anything worth a damn in 20 years . And im a die hard chevy guy
We want a 57 chevy brand new with all new shit. You build it and we will buy it. Tryst me. . . you will sell a shitload of chevies if you bring that damned thing back!!!
GM killed the electric car. Why? So they could build the Hummer and sucks Hummer owner's pockets dry for maintenance. Oooh, the irony of the Hummer. "We're proud"? Laughable. I'm surprised there wasn't more U.S. flags in the background. C'mon guys, you're not thinking. Google "who killed the electric car?" It's an awesome movie.
Project X looks like any other 57' Chevy.. So what the big deal... Billion dollar company and this is the best they could do? Oh well smoke and mirrors! GM Come bring it on''''''
those produstion estimates cover everything you own and uses everyday.(light bulbs, tooth paste, lumber, condoms, so on)
i'm not sure about air transport, but i know i've worked on ships that burn 24 cubic meters of fuel a day (24,000L, or 6340 gallons.). cars are a part of the problem, just a too small of one to be so focused on.
It's a nice car after you're done with it, no question. Too bad it's not a 57 2 door hardtop instead of a sedan. 57's were ok looking, especially the hardtops without the piller... and they are still very popular but I always liked the newer models better, like the 59, 60, 61, body styles were far better looking.... more streamlined, and had fins that were horizontal instead of vertical. '62 was hot too,but don't care much for the 63 and later models tho. But nice job.
Takes me back. My high school boyfriend taught me how to drive a manual in his '57 Chevy. It just flew. We attended SEMA in St. Paul in 1977 when we were in high school.
Good job of turning it into every other custom '57 that the average guy can't afford to build. You should rename the car Project Fail.

Project X-tremely plain, boring, and ugly. Stripped off the original beauty and replaced it with blah. Nice work guys.

A '57 Chevy with modern billet wheels looks like an old lady wearing mini skirt... I like the traditional five spokes like the Cragar SS.

To me, the one from Hollywood Knights is Project X. The way it looks now, you can't tell it's the same car. It looks like any other mega buck 57.

I don't want to drive it across the country. I want to race cobras from redlight to redlight. The Hollywood Knights version was absolutely the best.

So you have all the comforts of a modern car... except with a carb on it! Do the LS7 or go home. Carbs are dead.

you are not including car production in your estimate.
The seven sources of CO2 from fossil fuel combustion are (with percentage contributions for 2000-2004)[8]:
Solid fuels (e.g. coal): 35%
Liquid fuels (e.g. gasoline): 36%
Gaseous fuels (e.g. natural gas): 20%
Flaring gas industrially and at wells: <1%
Cement production: 3%
Non-fuel hydrocarbons: <1%
The "international bunkers" of shipping and air transport not included in national inventories: 4%
