I love this video. Awesome sound of the V2500-A5s (or are they A7s?). I like the throttle down at 1,500 ft. It would have been better if you had continued shooting until the aircraft was cleaned up - CCJ being at sea level (I presume), I think it would have been at around 3,000 ft.
the flight which you had gone to calicut was operated by air malta!or etihad ,how was the flight good ......plz tell me because i am flying by etihad to trv
The only Etihad A320 with the CFM is A6-EIZ which is ex-Air Canada. It was Etihad's first A320 delivered in Summer 2007 and was registered 9H-AFE for a short time after joining Etihad. This is likely to leave the Etihad fleet at some point as it lacks commonality with the rest of the A320s.
@LH287 One thing I noticed though is that CFMs tend to sound more like grinding metal and the 2500s sound like a buzzing rather than grinding. Both sound great to me.
Woah no comments for a while ay

This was an Etihad aircraft.
2 A320s were leased from Air Malta in 2007 but they went back after a few months. Etihad now has 12 A320s & 2 A319s.

Is this the IAE V2500 engine?
BibKnelg787 3 years ago
No, it's CFM56

EDIT: Actually, it could be the V2500, I'm confused... I think it's CFM, but eithad seems to use both variants...

I think, the engine looks and sounds like the V2500... but I could be wrong, too :)

I normally edit the details just after uploading, but the UAE authorities blocked YouTube (again!) for a few weeks.
Updated now.
