it is not newcastle , but it is classed as south tyneside not wearside. most of the people from south shields support newcastle. would say its about 60% to 40% you can imagine the conflict it makes it better to be a sanddancer because the football banter is top notch :P. but the mackems are out numbered. Newcastle has many town to the north like cramlington, morpeth, ashignton and blyth, sunderland get support from most of durham apart from south durham. south shields is the only real conflict in fans. anyway north shields is much nicer than south shields.
& it was very noisy for the last 5 minutes, eg whole ground singing, before then it was just some chavs to the left of us. and yes, but if you had watched a performence as bad as ours that day, 20 mackems could have outsang the whole of sid james'. we were dismal and unfortunately had fuck all to sing about.

i was right next to the SMB at sjh l7 for this match and i could not hear them , i was actually very supprised how shit they where , because they go on about how they have the loudest ground in the country stupid fucking mackem inbreads. you lot will never have south tyneside . its geordie land SMB

it is not newcastle , but it is classed as south tyneside not wearside. most of the people from south shields support newcastle. would say its about 60% to 40% you can imagine the conflict it makes it better to be a sanddancer because the football banter is top notch :P. but the mackems are out numbered. SMB .

Newcastle has many town to the north like cramlington, morpeth, ashignton and blyth, sunderland get support from most of durham apart from south durham. south shields is the only real conflict in fans. anyway north shields is much nicer than south shields.

& it was very noisy for the last 5 minutes, eg whole ground singing, before then it was just some chavs to the left of us. and yes, but if you had watched a performence as bad as ours that day, 20 mackems could have outsang the whole of sid james'. we were dismal and unfortunately had fuck all to sing about.

I remember that day very very well, and i can honestly say i heard two chants off you lot, i know you will have sung more, its just i couldnt hear you. The home support was mental that day, dont start makin out it was only the last 5, its pathetic. You got great support no doubt but dont lie to make ours look shabby.

right, the game at the SoL was a sell out, but some of the seats cant be sold cause they have restricted views and some seats arent sold because they have to keep a gap beetween supporters. newcastle get bigger gates than us cause you picked up prawn sandwich eaters in the last 15 years. Sunderland support is more passionate, hense why we sold every away game last year except 3 (newcastle sold out 11) & we took 900 fans to portugal and 2000 to dublin, mags took 200 to parma.
