  • How did you cover the book with fondant? Did you cover it with the white all the way around then flip it over to put the blue cover on? I'd love to see a tutorial of this if you happen to have the time! Thanks for a great vid.

  • I got the book, but the pencil has got me. Maybe rice krispy treats and cover??

  • If you ever have the time can you explain how you made the closed book cake? You did a great job and it would be very much appreciated.

  • how did you make the graduation cap? Im trying to figure out how to make one for my sister. Im thinking maybe using rice crispies and marshmellows and putting it in the fridgerator.

  • How did you make the graduation cap?

  • REally beautiful.

  • Cool grad cake, I'm doing one for my little sister in-law in May and I will definitely refer back to your cake, How did you sculpt the cap?

  • Thanks! I used a 6 inch round and carved from there. Depends actually on how big you want the cap to be. You carve at an angle (Small cuts). The top part of the hat is made out of gumpaste. Let me know how it goes. Good luck!

I forgot to ask... I haven't seen a tutorial about how to make the "book" cake. How do you wrap it with fondant? Do you apply the white for the pages after you wrap it?
