Cool. I never got to see this parade. The first Disneyland Parade I remember was about living in America. I think it was in summer of '91. I was 3 years old :)
I never got to see this parade...looks like it was before Darkwing and Goof Troop though, but I gotta ask,,,where is this? I've been to like Disney a bunch of times and I did not recognize where this was taking place. It doesn't look like MK but I could be completely wrong
@filmfreak11 AAHHHHH This would explain why I didn't recognize it...I'm and East Coastie, been to WDW like 10 times but not Disneyland. ...I have a feeling this parade was never in WDW. ...but then again I was in 4th grade when I first went there and the Disney Afternoon was big.
@SlayerdudeMark I don't remember a Disney Afternoon parade in WDW, but I do remember there was a Disney Afternoon show in Mickey's Toontown. (I think it was called Starland back then though?)
TDA lasted from the late 80's to the mid-90's, with the last batch of DA characters--from Goof Troop and Bonkers, respectively--being seen last (to my recollection) in 1995.
those were the good days. is there any disney channel parade...no! 'Cause disney channel ain't good enough for a parade. But then again it's not a bad marketing idea.
It's amazing that Disney actually did this for their original Disney Afternoon shows (even the Gummi Bears). Today, it'd be pretty hard to see them doing this for The Proud Family, or The Replacements.
I've noticed this too. Basically Nickelodeon has taken over that market. They have many of their animated TV characters at Universal and in their own park. The only TV characters I've seen Disney do now is Kim Possible & Ron Stoppable, and they returned that show from cancellation. Now they're thinking of this "world mission" program in EPCOT and possibly elsewhere. I guess you could also consider The Muppets. But the latest from that is Muppet Mobile Lab.
I know! Even though Phineas and Ferb (and Perry) have been made into cast member costumes, they probably won't get their own parade either (despite their show being like the only reason people still watch the Disney Channel). Heck, these days, Disney won't even give THESE shows the respect they got here. Nowadays, they're like, "What are you people talking about? We never turned Baloo into a pilot or Chip & Dale into detectives; you must have imagined that."
after seeing this, i really wish of the several opportunities i had to go to Disney World that I could've just for one minute met Kit Cloudkicker as a kid...he was who i saw myself in when i was little :-\
I went to this during my eighth grade year in high school. Man did I have fun, I met Baloo and the gang, The DuckTales crew, The Gummi Bears and the Rescue Rangers. I got autographs and Dale's hawaiian shirt. I miss the Disney Afternoon so much, cartoons nowadays are 100% unwatchable.
OMG! I WAS THERE! Talk about bringing back the memories! At my trip to Disneyland with my parents I got to see, hear and touch my childhood religion! I saw all the D.A characters! And I still remember Chip N Dale's rap. Later I got my picture taken with Dale and Gadget! YAY! It was the best part of day! That was when Disney Rocked!
Wow I can't descibe it more than I can regard this as soooooooo 1991! I'm really in the mood for this early 90's stuff - just watch in amazement the obscure comedian Roger Rabbit and the Fab Five (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto respectively) wearing neon bomber jackets!
I'm still missing Hercules, Aladdin, and Party Gras parade. Also Festival of Fools, Animazement, and a Mickey's Detective show :(. But the videos I have now are still good :D
I like Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers best

@SlayerdudeMark, it's Disneyland, CA. Between the Matterhorn and Alice in Wonderland restrooms. You can see the monorail beam in the background.
