Then he sent a letter to Nintendo of Japan asking if they could collaborate and make a Mother 4. 16 bit, just like the old days. And release it on the DS. And the offer is accepted, and the greatest game ever is made, and comes over to America. And then Mother 1 and 3 are ported to DS and VC. Ah, if only...

(Whatever you call them) When you first had the 8 melodies theme, it was fine, but as you started to do the same in individual melodies, it got a little messy and confusing, because they all have different timbres. Thanks so much for making this composition/medley. There is nothing better than to see that someone else shares my love of this childhood memory. :D

@U2becommenter thanks for your wonderful comments! In terms of the harmonization, I tried inverting the interval, and it didn't sound pleasant to me. I often switch instruments mid-melody for the sake of passing the melody to other voices, much like an orchestra would. Sometimes it's handy for octave transpositions as well, given the narrow melodic range. The timbre of Mario Paint is difficult to work with, and various combinations/octave placement of notes pose that wonder challenge.

First of all, I would like to say that this is 1 000 000 X better than I could ever do. That being said, one piece of constructive criticism I have for you is at 3:41, I don't think you should add "trumpet" thirds on top of the main line. Having just the E-G-A-E... works and doesn't distract. If you wanted to harmonize, maybe try either moving your E-G-A-E... theme up an octave and harmonize a 6th/3rd below or even in octaves. One other piece of advice that I have for you is to not switch...

It's not his fault that Mother contains tons of pop culture references and stuff. If they released any Mother game here, nintendo would get their asses sued. Mother 2/EB got released here 15 years ago because Google didn't exist. If you wanna kill anyone, kill the creator of google, which wouldn't solve anything.

NoA and Reggie wanted to re release EB, and remove some references, but NCL wouldn't let them change EB :(

@fpsmage - nobody can really do Onett any better. This isn't mario paint composer - it's actual mario paint which has a ton of limitations as to what kinds of notes you can use as well as polyphony limitations. That's what makes TomBobBlender's work so impressive. The original NES technically had less limitations than this.
