Oh, come on - littering? Have a sense of fun and adventure. Tossing a message in a (glass) bottle is traditional. And broken glass becomes smooth around the edges, it doesn't stay jagged. I collect beach glass everywhere I go for my projects. So if it makes a mess, people like me will clean it up. No worries.
I hope you know you are littering, that thing is gonna crash into a rock and break leaving tons of shards of glass in the lake..........I would have thrown it away.....
