the only reason i listen to new nightwish is that Thoumas write great songs...and Emppu ...is still the best guitarist !!! i love Emppu!!!...But now i`m a real fan of TARJA <3...she write great songs 2 ...but imagine how would be if Thoumas would write songs and Tarja would sing them ^^...ahhh sweet dreams ! wmg sucks theyre such jerks. i've met tuomas on numorous occasions i should so record him saying "i give everybody on youtube permission to use our songs in any way to promote our band and make their own videos featuring one of our songs as long as theyre not trying to make a prophet" and they dont own nightwish anyways. nuclear blast, and roadrunner own them. and lord knows tuomas would do it cus hes the man, then i could rub that in stupid youtube and wmg's face.

Annette's doing good with Nightwish. I have nothing against Annette's voice. I just like Tarja's better because she's more opera-metal, and that's more my style.

They're both great singers, but Tarja has a sound that sticks out more in the modern metal landscape. Her voice also suited Tuomas' compositions much more than Anette. That said, they work well with her and it sounds great.

As much as I miss the tone Tarja's operatic voice brought to Nightwish, I am very glad she is gone... she wasn't very nice to the fans, and Nightwish is still Nightwish; still symphonic metal, as we see in Poet and the Pendulum... for everyone who says that it's not, just remember: Tuomas started out with the idea of 'Acoustic Campfire music', not metal.

I hate how they got rid of Tarja...I wish she was still with Nightwish, but we all know that Tumas strives for the media...how he wants attention from the public...he doesn't want to be underground anymore, the child in him hungers for popularity. I have read them, analyzed them both, read Marcelos version of the events. And after analizing other sources as well, I came to the conclusion that Tuomases version of the events seems much more realistic and accurate.

Amaranth is not the symbol for the album. That was The Poet and the Pendulum (widley regarded as their best song). Amaranth was supposed to be a light single and was added to the main album because band prefference, not a "lets stick it to the fans" ideal. But to do the other side... Anette CANNOT sing Tarja's songs, nor will she. Anette sings NIGHTWISH's songs, not My Winter Storm's songs. Tarja had no part in the composition whatsoever, so how can people call then Tarja's songs?

Tarja made the songs what they became by deciding how they would be sung. Her voice made them unique, and very hard to mimic by another singer.

She may not have written the sheet music or the lyrics, but she certainly had a role in what the songs evolved into.

After hearing "Nightwish 2007" crap videos, then listening to this, this is like a breath of fresh air.

It's like listening to a lame half-assed cover band, then seeing the real thing, and this IS the real thing.

Nightwish with Tarja was an EXCELLENT band, and had powerful music that touched the soul.

Nightwish with Anette sounds like a cheap nightclub act at best, that hurts the ears and bores the mind.
