I made a batch exactly like she did and it was very good but not excellent. I made another batch where you boiled the tomatoes, basil etc for a minute or two and then jarred them and boiled the jars for 45 minutes and that one was way fresher tasting. I think the pre-boiling, like she does here, kills some of the freshness of the sauce.
It was good though, don't get me wrong but the other method, like I said, was better.
And add a ton of fresh basil while cooking AND in the jars. Mmmmmmmm
when you heat up the jar and turn it up side down does it creat a vacume when it cools. how long might this keep for??
