@11Kenzy hey! if u want the smoke effect just press n hold ctrl + alt + shift + F7, then a box will appear,, type in the box "/smoke" then you will get the smoke ;D

I played this game 24/7 when i was 4. I used to try the races (hoping to unlock a vehicle like my dad and sister could do all the time) and i would go to the end, in last place. Then i would ask my mom if i won the race. She always smiled and said no, but that i should keep on trying.

11 years later, I did the same thing and won, then i asked my mom if i won, and she cried.

What pc do you have? Is there any way to turn on the hardware acceleration under Vista and DX 10? Every time I start the game there's information "MM detects presence of hardware acceleration blahblahblah (...)" and I have only "Software renderer" in options and as a result 680x480 resolution and I can't change it. i tried to force resolution in .cfg files but it doesn't solve anything, because game can't detect any acceleration at the start.

Back in the day, I remember on one particular occasion driving a Panoz GTR-1 along the freeway and crashing into the bollards (passed at 2:06 on this video) - the combination of the angle and very high speed resulted in the car spinning violently in the air for more than 10 seconds!

1. Open the directory: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Midtown Madness\Players

2. Delete all files EXCEPT; "chicago" (may be a file OR a folder), and "players.dir"

Note--to keep using all cars you must play on the "DriverX" account. Adding more accounts will relock the cars.
