  • backbone tube!

  • It smoke's a lot. But hey,who gives a fuck? It's a REAL diesel, so it hás to smoke!!

That's one off the things I like about this machine. It's power, it's sound, it's look, and.......it's not CO2 friendly! That's what I like most! Whuhahaha!!

  • Made in USSR...

  • if i actually see one of these coming towards me,i would probably get a Heart Attack....anyway really nice and BIG

  • any crash test videos of this thing?

  • JA PIERDOLE

  • I drove one of these in the army. I think it has a T55 tank engine.

  • @drivewheels no i think your garage couldnt take that much awesome in one place

  • EURO 10 Eco. Stdrt.

  • I suppose you could tractorpull the earth with that thing.

  • No, in fact this truck is shit. It has 38 liters engine, though can tow only 70t. The waste of fuel is 125 l/100 km.

  • It can tow more, depending on the condition of the engine. Its used for carrying tanks.Ive seen one with a 100t load and it did just fine.

  • That's what I call true diesel power!

  • Lol I dont understand in these things

  • I recorded one last year, some tank was on it and Puch G class was following it :D

  • CCCP Pawer !!! S I L A ! ! !

  • Best truck ever!

  • why does it have foreign license plates?

  • like an 8x8 freight train on tires.

  • Not only nuclear missiles, but portable nuclear power-plants aswell, by the way!

  • Classic CCCP

  • cool ! great machinery

  • damn that happens to me all the time hahaha

  • Thanks for sharing, dear Friend.

Really great machinery .. love it.

  • hahahaha too funny at 0:52

  • These monsters carried nuclear missiles

  • ...and it makes it's own road

  • This is some serious zombie killer xD

  • Nice Cityflitzer ;-) I love it!

  • zombie

  • With love from USSR !!!! It's alll our RUSSION!!!

  • If you look closely you can see a Honda civic stuck in the tread of the rear drivers side tire.

  • looks like something that should be in twisted metal

  • thats cool, think id stick with a Scammel Explorer though ;)

  • a beautiful piece of machinery. I'd rather have this instead of a new Ferrari

  • @macguver: Yes indeed! Very usefull during traffic jam's!!

  • nice start engine

  • sounds like it needs new muffler bearings to me!

  • definately needs new piston seals

  • Very nice veh!

  • I bet the fule bill is big

  • have they a particulate filter?

  • yea that will get stuck if you go off the road for sure that truck needs big tires

  • cool

  • not enough ground clearance and too small a wheels. you're gonna get high centered.

  • i think Tatra, in the same class, vehicle has better performances.

  • it an all wheel drive lol

  • 8x8.. your not going thru jeep trails fool.

  • it looks fairly capable to me, any way its not hard core rock climbing.

  • nope that car will get stuck for sure. it needs bigger hubcaps.

  • no it is just fine you arragent fool, if you know how to drive that thing would be sweet. + it has great clearance.

  • no. its probably stuck already. thats why he quit taping.

  • don't you get tired to run your mouth?

  • And I's sure your Jeep would do really well towing a 100 ton tank transport.

  • great...!

  • Impressive!!!

  • Isn't this the truck that the Soviets used to drag the portable ICBM launchers around with? If I remember right, it looks real similar to something that I saw in Soldier of Fortune about twenty years ago.

  • how about the ICBM truck in "SPIES LIKE US"

  • the 38 liter engine

  • old cccp military truck

  • fajna maszyna 5/5

  • HELL YEAH! :D

  • the truck look better with a minigun on the top

  • The engine in this vehicle is a model B 2 very similar to war time Rolls Royce V 12 but this is a Diesel engine.

Shaft driven twin overhead camshafts per bank, some were alloy construction, separate blocks bolted to crankcase, 12 element Bosch type injection pump mounted in V between blocks.

Engine is dry sump type and has to be pre lubed before starting,

Looks like an aircraft engine if the flywheel is removed

  • B-2 engine T-34

  • Great truck! I can smell the allmost burnt diesel from here.

  • That thing looks like it can go through anywhere, and tow a huge trailer with a tank on its back through it. It says USSR on the door so it must be really old, I wonder how someone got their hands on one of these awesome things.

  • nice xD

  • omg .... its beautiful ...

  • Hell yeah, just imagine driving to school with that!

  • ugly

  • I have the strangest feeling that when you put down the throttle on this it eats up more fuel than a space shuttle.. :]

  • By the looks of it, I think it actually burns more oil than fuel!

  • Original.

  • Looks like a Russian truck

  • soviet stuff was crude but it worked, im sure you would respect that truck if it was hauling a big missile to shoot at you..

  • WT A CRAP

  • it will be pretty cool to see that truck live!

  • I agree that today's Tatra truck are better that this 40 y-o MAZ lol, but i have to admit that this is a very impressive truck!!

  • that is pretty awsome

  • tatra the best

  • al je nadrkan

  • Tatra is mach shit.)))Tatra don't transporting the "topol m" .))))

  • Tatra is much better. :-D

  • in what??

    küllemre biztos.

    8x8 vazeg, 8x8 :D

  • Would the engine stop if the exhaust pipes are covered by water? Thanks. NO

  • I am sure the original exhaust when out the top, but this looks like a privately owned vehicle judging by the kids there. I may be wrong, but still modifying an exhaust is really easy.

  • You are wrong, the exhausts seen in this video are in original position. See photographes from Soviet parades.

  • Would the engine stop if the exhaust pipes are covered by water? Thanks.

  • no, the exhaust pressure would prevent the water from entering the exhaust system as long as the engine is running.

  • Boy, talk about a 'brick shit-house'. This thing looks like it would haul a mountain!

  • this is a tank transporter tractor unit bitches, yeah made in the ussr

  • fateromék ezt a gépet pyramida -ként emlegetik

  • Is that monster here in the states some where?

  • No, over here in Sweden.

  • looks stout

  • it is ;P

  • That is the truck of my dreams ;)

  • The truck of my dreams is Topol-M 16x16

i trow away the rocket and build a house on it then i got big camper.

  • RenzeZielman -RenzeZielman --- WHY would they COPY Catterpillar ... or DETROIT .. diesel engines ... IT is not a ATOM bomb ... * THESE engines have extremely HIGH torque .. but LOW horse power rating .. THEY can pull 220.000 pounds with EASE ./.. HUGE ENGINES .. LOW horse power HIGH TORQUE ... IN the range of 7-8000 pounds of TORQUE ... CATERPILLAR C-15 in the range of 1800-2000 pounds of TORQUE ,... and 500 horses ...

  • These are tank engines from T-55 type. they are low rpm engines. Lower engine rpm means that you need more torque to put out the same power at lower revolutions.

absolute torque doesnt mean as much as you think, what matters most is the torque BACKUP, the max. amount of torque IN RELATION TO the torque at maximum power (which is usually near max. rpm)

  • That is why they invented GEARS so you can use the engine in its power band.

  • Bardzo dobry sprzęt

  • very cool!

  • MAZ MINSK AUTO ZAVOD that means MINKS AUTO WORKS and are made in Minsk Russia since the early 1940s and are lorry and tractor specialist. Most models come with aircooled

V10 and V12 petrol and diesel engines. The Russian Army have many within their trucks.

  • minsk is capital of belarus

  • What armies used this and are they still in service.

  • dat cool, but why the back of a truck?

  • To hook on a big trailer with a tank on.

  • Pointing the tailpipes up would just make too much sense.

  • This is Soviet era thinking, why waste metal making stack exhausts when the side vents work just fine? The look like a Submarine inside as well, not much on the creature comforts.

  • This thing can roll over H1 without any effort punk.

    I do own H1...

  • I want it. I want it bad!

  • They have the strangest things and the ugliest as well, reliable hmmm...

  • Ooo MAN this truck is great ..... TATRA learned building trucks from these things ...... RUSSIA had smart engeneers ....

  • Russia copied many Caterpillar and Detroit engine designs for their military trucks. Even the ZIL staff cars of the high political party people, were copies of American cars of the era.

  • Ez már gép.

  • TETRA learned from these trucks .....

  • the only one who should learn here is you:

    They are called TATRA!!!

  • Where is Tatra. Tis is Russian MAZ

  • MAZ - Belarussia

  • it can not turn very well

  • man, that's just the TRACTOR half???

  • Thats WAAAAAAAY better than a Tatra and also Bigger

  • Building something bigger, doesnt make you smarter: in fact, getting only 13.5 hp per liter of engine displacement doesnt sound smart to me... Tatra is of a whole different breed, because they are robust enough to withstand military use, yet economical enough for civil use.

  • man 13.5hp per liter may not seem much but can you tell me how much torque that thing has? and man I posted this comment 9 months ago. Id take one if you put Tracks on it.

  • BTW when you drive on road overtake someone with open windows they the side exoust will blow right into it lol

  • Russian trucks are so handsome :]

  • Looks like a Thunderbirds episode, something they have to rescue somebody out of when it falls off a mountain.

  • The noise and air pollution is serious and the truck is ugly but maybe it's cheaper than Westren's.

  • More noise is better

    ok airpolution sucks

    I dont think its ugly

Cheaper i think so but also better quallity

  • Yes they are not only cheaper, they are reliable.

  • They are just monsterous, twin V8 gas motors , which I understand are nearly impossible to synchronize. They also are over 8 feet wide I believe making them hard to drive on most roads. Isn't the top speed like 60 kmh?

  • Ive heard it can go 80kmph,in Serbia military had pulled out several tanks from a bottom of Danube with that truck

  • single V-12 diesel...

  • yep D12A-525 38.9-liter diesel with 525HP :-)

  • holey shit 38.9 and its making 525 damn my peterbilt with a c15 puts out 650 hp and its 15liters

  • Remember that this MAZ was build in the 60´s, you can´t compare a modern C15 whit this old engine but this engine generate extremely high torque because the big deplacement, maybe 2 or 3 times more torqe than your Cat.

This truck was designed to carry very heavy loads across long distances, with or without roads.

It can ford water up to one meter deep, climb gradients of 23 degrees, and descend gradients of 52 degrees with a full trailer!

  • i understand that tourque is everything but to have 38.9 liters and have that small of a hp range is impressave i mean the ntc 220 cummins are 12.7 liter while 60 series detroits are the same displacement but produce 425hp

  • then what can we say about american cars that have 4 liters and produce 160-240 hp ? honda 2 liter 240 hp s2000. it's all about torque anyway.

  • Five Stars!

  • @Jobergg Mostly for main battle tank carrying. The engine alone on this beast weighs couple of tons.Though the service life on the D12-525A engine isnt very long.Though the tractor can pull a 50 ton trailer on any terrain and probaly can pull up to 100 tons or more on normal road, thanks to its all time 8 wheel drive and endless torque.

  • the fuel tank is a small tanker.. cool.

  • now there is a truck you can pull an RV with and then go off roading.

  • Maz... Great truck, called here in Yugoslavia " Vucni voz" - Pulling train.. :D
