TO learn, most people recommend Mahala, which is about $30ish, but if you want to get a good one, prices range up alot. To get a decent one, you'd have to pay about $100. But it's best to start on a cheap one until you get a f eel for it.

I got a really cheap one to start, it was about $15, and now I've got a $300... It really just depends on how much you wanna spend :)

D: You do your D differently to how i do it, and was taught how to do it.. You said bar the second fret, pinky on the 5th fret A string... I was taught to bar GCE second fret... ?

wooooooooooooo a good teacher! thanks! i just got my ukulele today, and i found out when i'm going from G to D, it's easier for me to barr my first finger on the 3rd string down on the second fret with my middle finger on the second string third fret. and to go to D i shift my first finger up and bar the whole thing, move the second finger down to the 1st string :D
