Your mostly right. Except, the Stone Temple Pilots released an album that wasn't as good but still got great reviews and sales. People do buy albums still, otherwise CD warehouse and other CD retailers wouldn't exist at all. Even if people don't buy solid albums they still take part in digital downloads from ITunes and other places. Stone Temple Pilots are the shit always will be. I went and bought Purple just last month, i'm gonna be the next album they release too.
4 years later: Ray has become a full member of Korn & finally has a hit with the single "Get Up!" but Korn III tanked, STP had a successful tour but their self-titled album tanked, and Filter has put out 2 CDs that both tanked and plays clubs. AOA tanked. It's tough playing music for a living but theses guys are all rich, so I don't feel bad for them. Nobody buys albums anymore, myself included...
One of my favorite STP songs. I don't really see the problem with either band covering songs from their old bands. VR covers Vasoline and Sex Type thing so whats the big deal with AOA covering a couple STP tunes. Robert Deleo wrote the music for this one anyways so its not like Weiland made up the entire song, just the lyrics.

I think Richard sounds great. Panther, c'mon -- calling Richard Patrick a "poser" is a little much. He can fuckin' sing the lights out, bro.

Meh...I prefer Scott but Richard does a good job. Sounds more natural than VR covering STP (and Scott sings those, so...)
