women cannot join the SAS, they can work at the base or liason with other agencys but cannot be a trooper or see any real action, the closest women got to action was with the 14th intellegence core (also known as the Det ) and they were restricted to northern ireland, they were field agents in that respect. (this is sourced from true accounts from SAS and SBS soldiers in various autobiographies)

Officially, women are allowed to join the SAS, but I'm unsure as to whether or not there are any in active frontline roles. Hell, a lot of women could pass the physical fitness tests but I think it's more of a relationship thing. There's always going to be more guys in the military than girls (just pointing out), so if you think about it: about ten men to one woman: there's going to be conflict and stuff within the squad. You can't have that when you're behind enemy lines or whatever.

Women, can be attached, as clerks, chefs, reme techs, etc. However they don't join, and while they appear on the units books, are not IN.

They don't do selection, or wear the capbadge, and don't of course deploy on operations with the regiment, or serve in any front line roles.

You do see women walking round credenhill, but they're, tealadies and cleaners.

I can understand were you are coming from and what your saying and if SAS training was anything like the beginning of series with what Becca and Louie went through, I don't think it would be ideal for women, but I think they should be given a chance, just like anyone else.

Though you have to admit Heather Peace is pretty amazing, she actually looks like she often holds a huge machine gun. Besides I don't think many men complained when she was naked in the shower, or when you first see her.
