  • And thus the phrase "Incest is Wincest" was created [Genesis 19:33].

  • 1. Animals eat alot journey to the ark and then hybernate

    2. There were not the number of species then as today

    3. There wasnt the salt content then as now.

    4. Yall know there are 2 sides to this and yall have shown ur hostility towards God

    5. Repent and yield to the changing/restoring power of God or enter into eternal death.

  • @j919or I think this comment is a perfect example of just how hostile religion can be. "Repent and yield to the changing/restoring power of God or enter into eternal death." So either become a slave for religious texts or die and be tortured eternally.

  • @LadyOfThinking I find it more amazing to watch the countless rings the relgiious will jump through to hold onto their bronze age ideals.

  • @j919or Even if your correct that it's possible assuming 100's of ad hoc spectacular claims about the past, why wouldn't you just say it's a miracle anyways? Is God a conspiracist or is he trying to fool people?

  • Why didn't god just rapture all the animal species and send them back after the flood was over? After all Revelations claims god will rapture Christians and send them back after he wreaks a similar havoc on the world. But it seems this time god doesn't give a shit about the animal species cuz he's going to let them be destroyed along with the rest of the human race during the tribulation period.

  • Incest is relative

  • And don't forget, he had to drop off the kangaroos in Australia because that 's the only place they exist and have ever existed.

Jim Jeffries the Australian comedian does a great spiel on Noah that will have you rolling in the aisles if you can take R18 language:

    watch?v=LZJ-_OTvsqo

  • @warren52nz There are native kangaroos in Papua and Papua New Guinea.

  • @Matur1n "There are native kangaroos in Papua and Papua New Guinea"

Thanks for clarifying that. Undoubtedly they came over from Australia some time in the past and have evolved in isolation.

Anyway, so Noah took them back to Australia AND Papua and Papua New Guinea.

    The fallacy still holds.

    8^)

  • @warren52nz "There are HEAPS of messiahs like that in history. Look up "Mithra" as an example." I can't believe you're posting these debunked arguments from like 50 years ago. A common tactic atheists use is to assemble all the myths of hundreds or even thousands of the many versions of these pagan religions and present them as one coherent religion. Atheists have also been known to take concepts from these religions and redesignate them with Christian sounding terminology.

  • @theabiotictheory " I can't believe you're posting these debunked arguments.."

Given what you must believe if you're a Christian, I find it astounding that there's ANYTHING you can't believe!!!

Jesus replaced the Pagan practice of transferring "sin" onto farmyard animals and then sacrificing them thus removing the sin. Jesus is just a human version of that concept.

Anyway what's moral about someone else suffering for your sins? And what's the sacrifice if he only lost a long weekend??? Big Deal!

  • @warren52nz Following up on my last comment the Pagan ritual of slaughtering farmyard animals to remove human sin is where "scapegoat" came from.

And if you don't believe sacrifice was something Christianity embraces let me quote from the Bible. Ahem:

Genesis 8:21 "And the LORD was pleased with the aroma of the sacrifice and said to himself, "I will never again curse the ground because of the human race..."

If he said it to himself, how do we know he said it at all ???

    Just plain stupid!!!

  • *subbed* ^__^

  • @MistressArte me2

  • Not to mention Noah is also a heartless bastard he never invited any of his brothers or sisters onboard not only that No nieces or nephews either,I mean he builds an ark Leaves them to die.

  • @Sinfulhowl Well, they must have been "wicked".

  • You just won 1,000,000 Internets! and a sub!

  • "God" had to do a lot of the work. Direct intervention. Mind control for all the animals (but, if he did that, why send Noah to gather them, why not have them deliver themselves). "super evolution" to make those few animals into many (then, too, why not just send a small number and do that... hey, why bother with the animals at all? Why not "super evolve" Noah and company?), then "Insta Plants" that sprout from seeds left over after the flood... wait, my logic may be faulty here...

  • @RyuDarragh I have yet to find a flaw. Keep going ;)

  • "why not have them deliver themselves"

Noah didn't gather them. The animals did deliver themselves. Noah & his family went into the ark first, the animals came in on their own after:

Genesis 7:7 "And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood. 8Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth, 9There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark ..."

  • Also, chapter 6 says they came to Noah. He didn't have to go find them. Genesis 6:20 "Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, ..."

Chapter 7:15 repeats this again, the animals went in unto Noah (he was already in the ark):

"15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life."

  • @Matur1n

Yeah that's all well and good but what did they eat? How did the humans clean up after the thousands of animals and how are we all not disfigured from inbreeding.

Noah's ark is a fun story but only a child could believe that kind of monumental bullshit.

  • @MrJoystickid It doesn't say if they ate or not. When the Israelites were hungry, God provided manna. Maybe he provided something like that. Maybe, if God led the animals into the ark in some kind of mind trance, maybe he kept them in some kind of hibernation state. We don't know. Maybe it is just a teaching story. Maybe it happened on a more limited scale like Robert Ballard proposes in the Black Sea area. None of that makes it cool to criticize a story for elements that are not in it.

  • @Matur1n

I'm laughing at you right now for believing this story has any truth to it at all!

Why doesn't god feed Africa if he was quit happy to feed the israelites??????

    Because he doesn't fuckin exist!

  • @Matur1n: True enough, the wording says they went in under divine mind control in chapter 7. He's told to gather them up in chapter 6. And someone had to go and get the animals from other lands even Noah knew of that can only be gotten to by boat.

  • @RyuDarragh The question remains, why are their creationist "scientists"/apologists? If you believe all this than obviously it's a miracle. Who in their right mind would say how science supports their hypothesis and then has to insert 20 miracles or ad hoc claims to get it off the ground. Of course when you want to fit in you have to pretend like you childish material is more sophisticated.

  • Referral from Wildwoodclaire. Great vid. Subbed.

  • I am a bit surprised anyone still believes the ark story. I thought even very religious people didn't take the Noah's ark story seriously. lol It takes all kinds I guess.

  • @shananagans5 Many people still stand by it, even though there is a massive amount of evidence to disprove it. Same with evolution, and same with the age of the Earth and our Universe.

  • @LadyOfThinking lol Not to mention common sense. I don't understand the religion thing at all.

  • Wow, and I thought the Noah's Ark story was bulletproof.

  • God's magic made all the animals come to Noah's ark and live together in harmony without pooping or eating very much. How did Noah know what to do? It seems scientifically impossible right? Noah prayed and God helped him with magic. All the proof is in the Bible. After all these years the greatest source of scientific knowledge is still the Holy Bible.

  • @kaduisaui I actually heard a person say almost exactly what you said in this comment once, but they really meant it! This makes me wonder if it's a real apologetic. Did you just make it up for fun, or did you really hear it from a creatard (or creatard web site)?

  • @trueleroix God made all the animals shrink real small to fit into the ark. God then put all the animals into suspended animation so they could sleep during the flood. After the flood waters receded, Noah woke up the animals and let them all out. God made them big again and sent them to their respective continents. The scientific explanation is all in the Bible but atheists refuse to open their eyes therefore they have no morals.

  • @kaduisaui LOL oh man, are you seriously this messed up, or just a poe?

Making up fantasy to support a bronze age cult myth, is moral?

  • @TheHigherVoltage I was just trollin... sorry, I just couldn't help myself.

  • @kaduisaui That is kind of funny, but some might take you seriously.

  • It's very imaginative. I like your style.

  • I can't imagine any reasonable person refuting anything in this video, but I guess if the creationist have an argument at all it would be, "Well, god can do the impossible." Totally by-passing any of that pesky scientific logic stuff. But if god COULD do the impossible, then why have Noah build an ark at all. Why not just suspend him and his family in heaven until the flood was over. A silly story no matter how you look at it.

  • love the video, please employ someone to read your transcript tho. Your accent is THICK!

  • arkencounter (dot) com

Sponsor a wooden beam for $5K a year!

    Good grief! :S

  • Great video. Shout-out on the way.

  • @WildwoodClaire1 Thank you :) Though I have to warn you, I am a tea drinker as opposed to a coffee drinker. I hope that is ok :D

  • You sometimes needed to have had the backing sound tracks on a tad lower amplitude as i wasn't able to clearly hear you. I didn't enjoy the visual presentation. However, the logic is impeccable.

  • Where have you been all of YouTube's life?

  • @hilldiggity Lurking I suppose :D. I've been an Atheist all my life, even before I knew what an Atheist was. I didn't really learn that much about religion until the last couple of years, and with the "movement" going and needing as much support as it can get, I figured I would put something together too.

  • @LadyOfThinking Well you do it with magnificence and fun! :) What program(s) do you use?

  • @hilldiggity Just Adobe After Effects and Photoshop. It doesn't take too long to put a video together, more so writing the script.

  • @LadyOfThinking And I have that with CS3 (yes, lagging), I just didn't install it b/c I didn't know what to do with it!

  • According to the story, Noah didn't "gather" a single animal. The animals came to Noah. Noah and his family went into the ark first and the animals followed in pairs. Sounds miraculous to me, but the story clearly doesn't show Noah gathering any animals, nor him leaving the situs of the ark as it was being built.

Genesis 7:8-9 "8Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures that move along the ground, 9 male and female, came to Noah ..."

  • @Matur1n Actually, god gave Noah 7 days (Genesis 7:4) to collect 7 pairs of both clean and unclean animals (Genesis 7:2). This was a single statement from god to Noah, with no suggestion of a break in time between steps (Genesis 7:1).

  • @umbraemilitos Neither verse 4 or verse 2 of Genesis 7 say anything about "collecting". Noah is told to take them with him in the ark, which is entirely consistent with the animals coming to him as described elsewhere in the chapter.

  • @Matur1n The Hebrew word laqach is often translated as "take," however the accepted meaning often includes the notion of energy exerted to do the taking. I think that the passage expresses Noah and his family having only seven days to "take" the creatures out from the wilderness and onto the ark.

  • @Matur1n Also, much of this short story seems contradictory because Noah was also told that only tow of every creature would come to him (Genesis 6:20), and that the flood waters would came for both forty days (Genesis 7:17) and 150 days (Genesis 7:24).

  • @umbraemilitos Genesis 7:17 says how long the flood waters would keep RISING. Genesis 7:24 is the total time the waters would last, i,e not just rising but draining off too.

"17 For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth."

'24 The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days."

Two of every kind is the general instruction, and 7 pairs is a more specific one for sacrificial clean animals.

  • @Matur1n The animals came to Noah. Are you really saying that an amphibian managed to make it all the way to the Middle East from say the Americas across the Atlantic Ocean, you know amphibians, which cannot survive extended contact with salt water or any non avian species for that matter. That's the problem with the bible, it doesn't even try to stay within the bounds of reality. It isn't possible for 2 of ever animal to get to the middle east.

  • @Gibbons3457- I am not saying anything but to read the freaking story and get the details right. The story says the animals came to Noah, Noah didn't go find them. You are assuming everything was like it is today. We don't even know when the story takes place. Maybe they came across the land bridge to Asia. Maybe they already lived there in the Middle East. Where the animals lived after the Flood may not be the same as before the Flood. Maybe the whole world was one big continent named Pangaea.

  • @Matur1n "Maybe they came across the land bridge to Asia." Impossible, the only way for land bridges form between Asia and the Americas is if an ice age causes the sea to freeze across the bering strait, between Russian and Alaska. No other way any other way would be Geologically impossible. Not to mention you'd also have to account for all these creatures crossing harsh and unknown terrain for several thousand Kilometres. If you want to say the story happened you have to account for this.

  • 'With just one window for ventilation"

It doesn't say there was only one window. It implies there were many. He opened "a" window, not "the" window.

  • @Matur1n Make a roof for it, leaving below the roof an opening one cubit (18 inches or about 45 centimeters) high all around (Genesis 6:16). So the Ark did in fact have only one window, and one door that closed up.

  • @umbraemilitos The opening is not necessarily the window. The opening doesn't sound like it closes, the windows would. And if there were only one window it would be "the" window, not "a" window.

  • @Matur1n Well, I'm assuming that back in those days, they probably didn't know much about how to make latches etc. And with no mention of other windows, the opening is most definitely the window. Whether "a" or "the", it still only references one opening/window.

  • @LadyOfThinking "they probably didn't know much about how to make latches etc."

Given they have a window that they are opening, that looks like pretty good carpentership to me. A latch or peg or whatever is holding the windows open or closed is hardly complicated when compared to building such a huge vessel. One with a door. Also, by saying "a" window instead of "the" window, that certainly does imply more than one window.

  • @Matur1n Well whether there was a window or a hundred windows, the ark was still was way too small to house 50000 kinds, or 4 million species. Most creatures wouldn't have survived the whole journey due to life span and awful conditions, and Noah couldn't have done the whole thing because he was 600 YEARS OLD! 600! Not even with modern medical science is anyone even close.

  • @LadyOfThinking Then obviously it didn't house 4 million species. But that is a different complaint. I am just pointing out that the complaint about windows is a poor one. It doesn't say there was just one window, and anyone who could build a vessel that size can figure out windows and ventilation.

  • With just one window for ventilation one wonders if the buildup of methane gas and carbon dioxide would cause death. Would the thermal transfer to the water (and air) balance or exceed the heat generated by all those animals I wonder? Years in the building and caulked with pitch the ark would surely leak even on smoothest of seas so, who manned the pumps, or did they just bail it out with buckets? When rain stopped did they drink the salty, corpse filled, muddy water they floated upon?

  • Mat 19:26-"But Jesus beheld [them], and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." IN THE NAME OF JESUS!!!

  • @MrEmeraldfusion Huzzah for the Deus Ex machina trope. If you can't explain it, just wedge the word "magic" into the explanation and you no longer need logic ^^

  • @umbraemilitos I don't claim I have absolute knowledge and I am not arrogant, and proud enough to pretend like I know everything. I trust in God and the Bible.IN THE NAME OF JESUS!!!!

  • @MrEmeraldfusion And you've probably not read the bible, or perhaps glanced over it. I implore you to read it as in most cases it makes people Atheists. IN THE NAME OF FREE THINKING.

  • @LadyOfThinking -I have read the Bible fully I actually study it(2 Timothy 2:15), and it explains aspects of the world around us. IN THE NAME OF JESUS!!!

  • @MrEmeraldfusion Does it talk about micro-organisms, black holes, time travel, galaxies, dark matter, dark energy, a mulitverse, dinosaurs, a round planet as opposed to a flat planet, computers, body organs, radio waves?

Oh no wait, that was science wasn't it?

  • @LadyOfThinking -I said aspects not ALL aspects of the universe. It doesn't fully explain science because it not a SCIENCE BOOK. You don't go to Home depot to shop for clothes.Use your brain.

  • @MrEmeraldfusion So then the bible cannot claim to know the truth of how the universe began, how life began, how the solar system began, and what the source of morality is.

  • @LadyOfThinking -Huh? ITS NOT A SCIENCE BOOK. It would be like taking an acting class and complaining that the teacher isn't explaining general biology, because the class is to teach ACTING NOT BIOLOGY. Does that mean the acting teacher lacks a background and knowledge of biological studies? no not necessarily but it not apart of the curriculum. Seriously.

  • @MrEmeraldfusion "ITS NOT A SCIENCE BOOK. It would be like taking an acting class and complaining that the teacher isn't explaining general biology."

According to the mythology, Biblegod dictated the first 5 books to Moses. Are honest people really to believe that a "God of truth" can't tell a story without massive, contradictory, logical and scientific holes in it?

  • @TheHigherVoltage -You can find a contradiction in just about anything. It's about discernment. "Logical" God is spirit and his words are spirit and they are life. You still have a vail over your eyes. Jesus Saves

  • @MrEmeraldfusion calling words a spirit is not logical. calling words life is not logical. claiming that a book is from the creator of the universe on faith and not evidence is not logic.

I don't have a vale over my eyes, you have childish non-sense clouding your mind.

Jesus saves as much as Spiderman does.

  • @TheHigherVoltage -If God is a spirit then his words will be spirit. You do not understand them because you don't have the spirit of God. It's like a man who is given a book and told to read and he says, "I cannot it's sealed". So is it with everyone who cannot perceive God's word. If you bathe your mind in fantasy I understand your blindness as was it with Egypt.

  • @MrEmeraldfusion Words are not the same thing as whatever said them, they're words. You're assigning childish woowoo. And I understand your godbook just fine. It's the same format as all godbooks I've read so far.

And no, I do not bathe my mind in fantasy. To believe fantasy is reality takes faith.

  • @TheHigherVoltage -except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.

  • @MrEmeraldfusion And the quran claims that unless a man follows Mohammad, he cannot see the kingdom of God. And the vedas claim that unless a man accept the spirit of Vishnu, the one true God into his heart, he will not reach heaven.

Telling me your godcult 'you're doomed unless' non-sense is no different than anyone else's. For the record, I was already born again - fully convinced Jesus was in my life and guiding me. Years before that, I was also convinced Santa Claus was watching me to.

  • @TheHighet Voltage- What happened that made you stop following Jesus? I'll be honest I stopped following Jesus because sin got in my heart and I returned into Egypt, then I went back to the Lord.

  • @MrEmeraldfusion For starters, I read the bible cover to cover in preparation for a career in ministry/apologetics. I found myself asking the most honest question I've ever asked myself : Is this true or do I just wish it to be true?

Less than a year of research later, I understood the reality of the Abrahamic faiths, and started looking for evidence of real God(s).

  • @TheHigherVoltage -I found plenty of evidence for the Abrahamic faith and the bible. I have a playlist evidence in the bible.

  • @MrEmeraldfusion Well, let's start with the obvious. Jesus claimed (in Mark 16:17-18) that all who are baptized and believe gain magic powers. The most prominent one being 'laying on hands' (curing the sick with a touch).

Why do we still have hospitals? Why can't you cure a cancer patient with a touch?

  • @TheHigherVoltage -Jesus said, howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting(Mtt 17). The disciples prayed fervently for 40 days to receive the Holy Ghost power. I would say it works like this the more you sanctify yourself, and the more you pray the more power you will have, and the more your faith will increase. I fasted 5 days prayed and worshiped God average 5hrs a day I have much more faith then before. Jesus always, said your faith has made you whole.

  • @MrEmeraldfusion The bible says : "These signs will accompany those who believe". There's no conditions or stipulations other than 'baptized and believe'.

And no, the disciples did not pray or fast for 40 days to 'receive the Holy Spirit. According to the mythology, Jesus brought out the Holy Spirit like a party favor - flames on everyone's heads, all talking in tongues, etc.

And according to the myths, Peter was wielding super powers, then denying Jesus 3 times, then back to super powers.

  • @TheHigherVoltage I would like to add, every godcult claims that 'only through devotion and commitment can you hope to understand and receive the gifts of God'. Psychologists understand this as cognitive dissonance.

It's literally convincing yourself that fantasy is reality through repetition and willful delusion. It's the same mental mechanisms that all superstitions are formed on.

  • @MrEmeraldfusion So, what you are saying is you had to work really hard to keep believing? Do you see a problem with that? Seems to me, if something is true & correct you wouldn't have to work to believe it. I don't see any point in trying to force yourself to believe in a religion.

  • @shananagans5 -Sin will turn you away from God, and cause you not to believe. If you become bound yes it is hard for you. Belief influences your actions, and intentions, which influences your spirit, which controls your body.Actions have consequences, and it goes back to the spirit. Sin isnt only done in the body, its done in the spirit of your mind, it controlled by the spirit. Sin effects your nature and relationship with God.

  • @MrEmeraldfusion It seems to me you are turning to an outside influence to be good. Why not just work on being a kind person? I guess what I am getting at is why do you want to believe & force a belief? I grew up in a very scientific family, I am actually a scientist myself & have never really been exposed to religion. I am trying to understand why someone feels a need to believe. Why not go with the evidence & strive to be a good, kind person?

  • @shananagans5 -I'm trying to make it into the kingdom. I have to walk on the straight and narrow path. Holiness unto the Lord. Belief effects your spiritual condition and actions. Beliefs are generated in the spirit which can be sin and sin leads to God's wrath. Because God is holy. That why all beliefs are not equal. Yes, I try to be more kind, and loving towards others.God bless you. I love you. Jesus Saves.

  • @MrEmeraldfusion My power level is over 9000. Top that holy boy.

  • @kaduisaui What? NINE THOUSAND!?

    Sorry, couldn't resist.

  • @MrEmeraldfusion "I'm trying to make it into the kingdom. I have to walk on the straight and narrow path." every godcult claims to offer the same path to 'afterlife paradise'...while demanding all those not on the path suffer brutal punishments. It's a con.

"Yes, I try to be more kind, and loving towards others."

There is no 'try' you either are a kind and loving person or you're not. If you didn't also believe "I was born evil and sinful", you'd probably find it easier to just be good.

  • @TheHigherVoltage -They all can't be right. They can all be wrong, or you can be wrong. I say you are wrong and Jesus Saves. you're right be kind or not. You don't think people are evil and sinful?

  • @MrEmeraldfusion "I'm trying to make it into the kingdom. I have to walk on the straight and narrow path. Holiness unto the Lord." Ever taken a glance to either side, noticed how many other religions all say that they are also walking the same narrow path to god's greatness and that if you just keep walking, you'll find it. Only problem is you never do; all talk and no gods.

    /watch?v=Gcw1YEtTQCw&lc=q8yk6aRINLlBaLICPk5m90IPaRdZRmsBs1wrYfIVPfk&context=G2438341FAAAAAAAAXAA&feature=g-all-c

  • @Gibbons3457 -Yes, I concluded christianity was true based on the evidence of nature , history, and personal experience. As well as miracles.

  • @TheHigherVoltage -I hear you. I want to see a person who is in a wheelchair walk, or someone who has amputee legs grow, or walk into a hospital and start healing people. That's the power of the kingdom.

  • @MrEmeraldfusion I don't see any power of any supernatural kingdom.

What I do see is a full range of cultural tribe gods, each with their own myth books, still being worshiped as real by their believers throughout the world.

And while every one of these godcults stories and 'personal testimonies of believers' claim supernatural miracles as 'proof' their God(s) are real, no one actually produces any valid evidence.

Statistically, praying to Jesus = praying to Vishnu = praying to a beer bottle.

  • @MrEmeraldfusion If you believe the ark story your either stupid, won't listen to the facts, or are intellectually dishonest, which on are you?

  • Good presentation!

  • Very nice, thanks.

  • Love it.

  • Love it.
