@redfacedpresident2 He doesn't say it in the video, but when decanting port wine, it's a good idea to have a light source behind the bottle so you can see when the sediment-laden wine at the bottom is getting close to being poured out. In other videos I've heard people say you should leave as much as 0.5 to 1 inches of wine in the bottom so that you don't pour any unnecessary sediment into the decanter. You can use a lamp, but maybe a candle is traditional...?
Why did you light the candle? I didn't see you use it.
