  • Simply the only way Ask should be played.

  • "Shiness can't stop you from doing all the things in life you'd like to"

  • absolutely brilliant!!!!!!!

shyness is nice but it doesn't stop you....

    cheers

  • Hi Daniel,

I really like you're music! Very well played

Rickenbackers are great!! I have a 360/12 my self.

Could you please tell me what kind of video camera you use and what kind of video software to edit?

    Have a nice day!

  • very good video, is precious your rickenbacker

  • wow, man. this is incredible work!

  • The joys of multitrack! This month I finally sat down to really figure it all out instead of tossing in bits for an acoustic one-track take. Marr's stuff really does get served better if it's fleshed out like this - keep up the great music!

  • Wow, man. Just awesome. Very cool, thank you.

  • Great job!!

  • This is absolutely amazing, I've been trying to learn Ask for so long and this really helps. What a legend, Marr wouldn't be proud, he'd be stunned!

  • How cool is that! You captured the genius of Johnny Marr!! TRES COOL!! Thanks!

  • Awesome !

  • wow so awesome

  • This is sheer genius as always!

  • Semi-off-topic: Daniel, how do you polish your jetglo Rics, or do you ever do this?

  • What a great question.

I'm getting a used 330 6 string jetglo after this month and I've heard they can leave some serious smugges.

Not like it really matters but it looks nicer when polished.

  • A Rickenbacker symphony.

  • i need a tab :'(

  • only for the middle bit if thats possible :)

  • awesome

  • Where can I get this as an MP3?

  • So awesome!!

  • Argh! You wanker, You're Incredible!

  • Please can I have your Rickenbacker.

  • Daniel you need to be hired by any top band

    Walk by!

    Maybe Keane.

  • You should meet Johny... You must meet Johny. 5stars!

  • You're a bastard and I envy your guitar collection...lol. That 330/12 is cherry and the sound is impeccable.

  • there's no way I would be able to pick each of those parts out. That was really cool Daniel.

  • You are an excellent guitar player, and an inspirational teacher. Thank you so much.

  • i like this format. awesome.

  • good to see you doing some smiths stuff again. any chance of you doing some jam?

  • man, i have got to learn how to do that!!!

  • GREAT!

I who is feeling admiration want also to come referring when it is an always wonderful technique and a recording technology ..wanting the challenge...

  • This is not love, this is the bomb.

    The bomb.

    The bomb.

    The bomb.

    The bomb.

    The bomb.

The bomb that blows away almost every other Smiths cover of yours...ever.

  • This is the magical sounds of Marr & Gannon.

    Thanks for good instructions.

  • Johnny Marr is the king. Good job as usual.

  • great as always...like seeing the production behind the music.

  • Daniel, I love you. Please marry me so I can watch you play Smiths songs all day long. :)

  • I actually got a little teary when the mix came in...just simply beautiful Dan.

  • Ah, one of my favourite Smiths songs!! As always, amazing job Daniel, you're the greatest!

  • By the way Daniel, I consider this song to be their absolute most complex (production wise) and maybe even their "masterpiece" (production wise). What do you think? There is A LOT going on in this record

  • Okay the way you play the chord progression in Track 1 is really unique, I really liked that a lot. Were you using delay on that track? It sounded like you were. Great tone by the way.

For a lot of people asking how he is getting his guitar to sound like that, 90% of it is in the way he is playing it, he's a really experienced player and I can tell he's developed an awesome tone through his fingerss.

  • you've put the jigzaw puzzle together well, and sounds cleaner than the record ;-)

  • nature is a langauge

    nice again!

  • WOW

  • Brilliant

  • but how do you make your guitar sound like that ?

  • yes, this would have been even better. and a very nice idea to show us each part seperated!

  • brilliant :)

  • "Memes don't exist."

    Nice track and nice shirt.

  • The other part is "Tell your friends." :)
