@kaihedgie Yes this game was mad popular back then. My friends and I used to play it on my super gameboy trying to figure everything out and beat it with everyone. Reptile and Scorpion were my favorites. This game in my opinion was just as good as the snes and genesis games even without the blood. The feel, the control, the sound and levels all scream MK and immerse you. Getting this for 20 dollars was a surprise back then it pushed the GB to it's limits.

This port actually was not THAT terrible. The delay that was present in the original MK for Game Boy isn't in this game so much, and the game play was more solid. Still missing frames and moves though. Playable, but only for a little while. Killer Instinct is probably the best fighter on the GB.
God this game sucked. I've always felt that certain games just can't ever be good than their console/arcade counterparts when ported to the handheld. But they just HAD to.
Was my favorite game boy game back in the day. Got this the same year I upgraded to a pocket. I miss that silver pocket :(
