it is such a shame this place got closed.i was lucky to go twice in as many months a year before this video,and have such fond memories.yes there was a sort of ride there,a sort of cinema with moving seats!i didn't participate on that one,but do have the dubious honour of dancing with the granada studios mascot on both visits:-)
Hey there. I was on rcdb.com and find out the Granada Studio Tour had a roller coaster once. I didn't realized they had a ride there. I remember going to Granada Studio Tour when I was little.

i went in this tour some time in the nineties, im guessing about 96 but i cannt remember as i was so young i do remeber reding the news and do have a photograph of us on the corrie set and me reading the newsd
hello everyone im looking for a photo or video of the Skytrak roaler coaster opend here in 98-99 i never got to go on it as it wasnt working the day i went and would love to see it please upload if you have anything at all even if its not good quality the station was near new york i think i cant quite remember
i went there in 1995 but i was only 5 at the time it was really good used to go everyweek with my family but dont remember much just have 1 or 2 photos and thats brought sum memorys back of when i was younger THANKS mate :)
Great video. Had a fantastic time there. Just this sunday a couple off us went up to manchester and visited the studios. Its so sad seeing it now knowing how good it looked in its hayday. About 5 years after we went we found some old photos off the tour. One where you got your photo taken outside 10 downing street with the copper. The copper was Philip Olivier from brookside before he was famous.
I heard that Granada is considering re-opening the tour,but can't say wether it's true or not. Not to sound negative but I too visited the tour when it was open,and most of the interior sets were disused,or replicas built especially for the tour (apart from the exterior for Coronation Street) it would have been far more interesting to have seen the actual studio sets that were in regular use, and to have looked round the vision control rooms while the programmes were actually being
Oh it looks such a brilliant tour - a real shame they closed it down - we too were disappointed to discover it had stopped before we had chance to go...so very interesting to watch your video!
oh thanks for posting this video, i never got the chance to go before it closed down but always wanted to go because my brother went on school trip and said it was a good day out. I was quite suprised to find someone has filmed their tour as not as many ppl had camcorders then. Great Vid
granada studios had this exhibit about aliens where youd walk around as if ti were 'real' - anyone remember anytihng about it?

I went about ten years ago, it was brilliant.
That brought back a lot of memories.
Shame they've had to stop it, I asssume it's because of all the extra episodes they make now.
