Actually the iphone has a 2.0 pixel camera. While the G1 has a 3.2 pixel camera. So the G1 does have a better camera.

I agree with most of what was said about upsides and the downside about the G1's keyboard and syncing contacts. I have the iPhone 3G and even with the downsides to the iPhone --- I think what won me over was the fact that it has a simplistic design inside and out. The G1 though the software is great, I love Google and I use GMail, the physical device looks clunky and is a lot thicker.

I thought this was a fair review. I phone has at least one newer version I know of from the original where this is the first version of G1 I'm happy because I have t-mobile because their plans are much more affordable then ATT or Verizon and forget sprint. I'm not a fan of apple though I wanted the I phone I dont like how they strand them selves on an island and make unaccesable from other things beside Apple products. Like I tunes is a terrible music application compared to others.

This is a Keynote speach, this guy sounds just like the Microsoft guys.....boring. Remember he's talking to tech audience not the general public.Meaning they left the flashing ligts and noise maker at home. Sure the google guys might not be as cool as the apple or nike but i would take a google($435) stock share over apple and nike (129 60=$189) any day.

Touch screen, hmm my hitachi g1000 had it 5 years ago.

Music and video player, yeah 7 years ago.

Stereo bluetooth. Nope on the 3g

Physical keyboard. nope on the 3g.

Open source, nope on the 3g

Listen to voice mail on headset, nope on 3g.

Move data / audio / video files between computers off your phone... Nope on iphone 3g

Transfer music off your computer witout itunes.. Nope on 3g.

Im ditching my 3g tomm. I have had 7 pda phones in the last 7 years. F-apple. F-microshaft.

To the apple sheep who say the apple is more stable. Go to any forum and look at all the postings about the lockups and freezing.

Iphone = no video, and crappy camera.

Iphone = craaappy low volume speaker phone.

Iphone = mobile me has been a joke.

Iphone = Stupid auto correct on the keyboard.

Iphone = Sh1tty battery life 3/4 a day its dead.

Iphone = latest update, and the cr@ppy phone wont auto check email.

Iphone = Cr@ppy siginal coverage, dropped calls constantly. F-apple
