Actually the liger pic is a tigon, the reason y is because it doesn't have a mane like a lion, a liger is when a male lion and a female tiger conceive, but when a female lion and a male tiger conceive you get a tigon, you can notice the difference between the two by the missing mane on a tigon and how the stripes are much darker as well, sadly some sexist stereotypes are true; were it turns out that the males features dominate over the females /: P.S sorry for being a smart ass, but somebodies

I would just like to aware that there are natural hybrids in this world. They are not truely freaks of nature. It is well known that at times in history animals of similiar species will breed in the wild. Such as the grizzly and polar bear in the north. Actually if u think about it none of these animals are hybrids at all, seeing as there all the same kind of animal with different variations. Actually, the zebra is more compatible with the donkey than with horses. Zorses are simply mules with stripes. Some wild donkeys also have stripes, albeit only on their legs. Zebras are really a breed of donkey when you think about it. Contrary to popular media opinion (cartoons, etc.), they don't whinny like horses. They bray.

The first case was completely by accident, think the female Liger was sterile, she was in an enclosure with an intact male Lion, and they bred, the cub died shortly after birth, but there are some photos out now of a sub adult cat that was supposed to be from female liger and tiger male. Don't know if its true, no reliable info can be found.
