  • What kind of MPG drop did you have from stock cam ??

  • sounds great! post a dyno or numbers!

  • whatd it dyno?

  • the tag says oklahoma. im from oklahoma (okc)

  • gotta love cams

  • that looks exactly like the back of my mach1 except yours sounds so much more badass..

  • any numbers for us

  • sounds good. and looks exactly like mine..

  • might have to throw a set of these in the cobra engine im building for my marauder

  • you have to replace the valve springs or have it tuned for the cams?

  • @RedneckTRX450r yes and yes.

  • @Kiesel78 how much did the valve springs cost and the approx cost for install for the cams?

  • Are those cams emissions legal ? Will I be able to pass my E-Test ?

  • Depends on your state, most likely yes because most states only check for DTCs on the OBD-II cars which = no tailpipe sniffer.

  • Yeah Thnx. but I'm from Canada and the tailpipe sniffer is EXACTLY what they do...Lol.... LAME... But thanks

  • are those taillight covers or painted?

  • They are a 30 mil vinyl overlay, applied like tint. I for got where I got 'em, but they were relatively cheap. Much cheaper (and less permanent) than having them painted.

  • @Kiesel78

Becareful not too leave it in the sun too long cuz then it'll stick to the plastic and you'll have to end up scraping it off which will destroy the tail lights. :( happend to me

  • nothing in the world sounds better than a cammed 4v. bliss :)

  • what is the number of those cams i have a 96 cobra and am lookin to build the motor soon just need some cams i like the sound of urs but dont wanna lose the torque so what should i do and what is the duration and lift of those cams

  • Holly jeez. Mach 1's have virtually the same motor as the cobras, spec for the 03 04 years. It just lacks the supercharger. 99-04 GT's are 4.6 2V SOHC motors and the 99-04 Mach 1 and Cobra are 4.6 4V DOHC endo story

  • thats right but the mach's block is aluminum versus the cobras cast iron

  • only the 03 04 cobras had iron blocks the rest were aluminum

  • Wrong, try again

  • Ok there was one other iron block 4 cam mod motor and is now another. The 2000 cobra r and the new gt500. I was mainly talking about the 4.6 but since you want to get super technical that's fine. As far as iron block 4.6 4 valvers go the 03 04 cobras were the lone rangers.

  • @jwb0173 and the mach's higher compression and i'm pretty sure the cams are different too.

  • Same motor, different internals.

  • Just buy a cobra....

  • This is nice. 30RWHP? Not bad, but was it worth the money you spent? How much was the install/cams together?

  • Comment removed

  • how much was it to get your mach cammed? i want to cam my 04 gt do you know what i would need to do it and what cams/heads do you have they sound hella good

  • Mustangs are SOHC. Just yank the engine out of there and, depending on how much you want to spend, put in a modular cam by Comp Cams. If you can do it yourself do it.

  • Not all mustangs are SOHC

96+cobras and the mach 1s are DOHC

    so four camshafts total..

  • totally nailed it.. these 32v engines make the best sound!

  • But bseidle did say he wanted to cam his 04 GT, which is SOHC, which is probably what 1977f150408 was probably referencing.

  • a mach1 is DOHC. It has 4v a cyl. thats why it produces so much more power, and a much better sound.

  • Yeah its DOHC. Same valves as a normal GT. Factory specs are the same as any GT from 04

  • Actually the GT is a SOHC, 2 valves per cylinder.

  • nice mach i have a question camming your mach 1 or cobra is their a big HP gain ?? thanks

  • Ya there can be.

  • Any head modifications?

  • Nope. I do have a ported lower intake in the garage, just haven't gotten around to putting it on.

  • So exactly what mods do you have on right now and is it putting down. Sorry about the questions, it's that i'm thinking about going the N/A route and want to have an idea.

  • what stage are the cams.. an how much did u get them?

  • how big are your tips?

  • 3.5" diameter. I think they are 12"in length. Paid a local muffler shop $90 for the tips and welding job.

  • never saw a white mach1 before

  • i have....kinda a rare color for the Mach 1....

  • yea

all i have seen is yellow, red, blue, black, and some grey color

  • i agree...i spoke to you about the cams in the registry....im considering the 106160's that we spoke about....but how much would i expect to spend for a mech. to do the swap for me?

  • 4.56's would really take care of low end torque problem ;)

  • Yes Sir, they are in the garage waiting. Just haven't gotten around to the install.

  • did you have someone install the cams? what did they charge you?

  • Sounds really good. Hows the driveability with these cams (stalling etc) and where do they make there peak power?

  • I picked up 30RWHP. All of the gains were between 4200 and 6800 rpm. I lost almost 40 ft/lbs of torque between 2000 and 3000 rpms. At WOT the car runs like a striped ass ape. Driving around town isn't nearly as much fun without the low end tq though. No stalling issues.

  • Do you have gears by chance or still running the stock 3.55s?

  • 4.10's

  • Its still that bad down low with 4.10s? Do you have any videos driving around?
