@nicolai2091 By advanced I'm referring to ABRSM grades 6 to 8. The idea being to try practising in different ways to just what is on the syllabus and therefore develop technique further. Feel free to post some ideas on even more challenging techniques for developing scale playing! :)
@bhavesh0412 I do teach piano but have a pretty full schedule. Check out musicteachers.co.uk where you'll find a comprehensive directory of piano teachers.
That's a good comment and its worth practising the different modes. Some of them are asked for in the jazz exam syllabuses. One exercises I've also seen is to play some of the flat scales (eg. E flat major) using the C major fingering. This involves using the thumb on the black keys which is awkward but a good exercise for the thumb if not played too fast.
hi jonathan. i'm just wondering why people usually don't practice all the modes of the major/minor scales in every key too, like the different myxolidian's and dorians and locrians. it doesn't worth it ? there are a lot of scales that the fingering changes through the different modes, so i think it's useful.i'm just curious, what do you think ?
Advanced?????????? :))))))))))))

I love these warmups. I use Hannon exercises almost daily. Very helpful to loosen up.

@dennis0mus Yes I know what you mean. I've always found F sharp major and E flat minor arpeggios to be the hardest as all the notes are black keys!

Good lesson. Not really advanced though. Pretty much what you learn when you start playing piano.
