  • Yes! You included One Day! :D Hans Zimmer is amazing!

  • @piaggionrg321 bro i am the same!

  • Isn't it amazing what music can do to our minds and emotions

  • Why does the first song sound like HP to me?

  • @Totallytiger08 Same composer - John Williams

  • @Totallytiger08 the beginning yeah but if you listen to the whole song its def Star Wars!

  • @Totallytiger08

Because there are the same instruments and there is the same following of chords at 0:31.

  • @Totallytiger08 because the composer of both soundtracks is John Williams, i dont know how much u get into film scores but generally u can tell who composed a soundtrack just on general charateristics of the film score.

  • @Totallytiger08 for example if you listen to the main theme of pirates of the caribbean composed by Hans Zimmer you can actually hear an uncanny resembelance to parts of the Gladiator Battle Theme. hope this kinda clarify's what iam trying to say ;)

  • @Totallytiger08 because is from John Williams, same as HP1, also Jurassic Park

  • @Totallytiger08 thats becouse jhon williams is the compositor... :) 1 of my favs and the bests

  • @Totallytiger08 Same composer

  • @Totallytiger08 both soundtracks are done by the same composer, John Godlike Williams

  • @dontworrybehappy1677 john williams, james horner and hans zimmer are some of the greatest composers of all time in my opinion. i also rate john carpenter for his memorable themes, but john williams is definately in a league of his own. masterful stuff.

  • @Totallytiger08 Because John Williams composed all of the Star Wars movies and a couple of the Harry Potter movies =)

  • hayden christensen is hot hot hot

    That is emotional.

  • yeah 6:00

  • And when all will be gone....I'll remember you..... 3:36 - 5:55

  • 58 people are assholes

  • If you want the ultimate piece of sad music, you have to listen to albinoni's adagio. It tops the lot. Sooooo melancholic and sad its actually unbelievable!!

  • Nice!

  • 08:38!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Across the stars it's also a great emotional soundtrack of Anakin and Padme's love.

  • BONER!

  • I really like "One Day" but "Drink Up Me hearties Yo-Ho" is better put together from beginning to end...now that is one of Han Zimmer's best... and "Time" from Inception soundtrack.

  • sniff im not crying

  • almost crying

  • ''One Day'' from Zimmer is probably the best emotional track ever made

  • STAR WARS <3

  • @itsmagicalnatureJess

  • @Dannyrocksass well, it was a sad scene...

  • I miss the Star wars movies..they were amazing in their time..i wish they didnt make a gay animated cone wars one..an actual movie version of that wouldve been amazing

  • @SexyScottishMan well you're in luck, me and my friend plan on making a sequel. A new trilogy to Star Wars

  • @SexyScottishMan I don't really like Star Wars that much but I agree with you, the animated series fails so much. Period.

  • @SexyScottishMan the animated series is not for the general audience. its for kids on cartoon network. and do you really think they have a budget to make a movie or a series out of the clone wars.

  • One Day tore that shit up.

  • I can't stop crying when One Day is playing

  • @MrFaerion Is light ajaja

  • good list, thanks for posting :-)

  • Is there anyone out there willing to kill me? I hear soundtracks like this and I think of my late heavily sweethearted girlfriend who passed away nearly 9 years ago and I feel that without her, it's like the end of the world.

  • How could listening to soundtracks generate a flame war on depression ?

Something must have gone wrong somewhere ...

  • The first song reminds me of Harry Potter O_O

  • @MajorasTriforce wow me too lol :P

  • PoTC reminds me of Armageddon suddenly...

  • Even though I think Terminator 3 was crud compared to the first two I do believe the ending scene was beautiful while including the Radio track... Yet, I did wish it ended with a road scene or something :P

  • emotions are meaningless

  • @ghjurx452 If emotion were to be meaningless then there would be no reason to have emotion in the first place... Emotion's can help you relieve stress and help you keep moving. Without emotion the world would be a very calm, dead place..

  • @Viz731 the reason we have emotions are chemical reactions in the brain how does that make them meaningful. if for some reason you think that your emotions relieve stress that does not give them meaning.

  • Comment removed

  • @ghjurx452 I know they are chemical releases in the brain... Yet there is a meaning for it to happen. God bless ~Viz731

  • @Viz731 care to impart your knowledge of the meaning of emotions? I'm interested

I personally see no reason to believe there is meaning to them. But i am extremely interested in the path that has led you to arrive at the conclusion that there is meaning in emotions. Id also be interested in what you have concluded that their meaning is.

  • @ghjurx452 It’s more complex than saying emotions are chemical reactions in the brain. Are you really buying that? You’re submitting to drug companies and marketing campaigns that are triumphing over true medical science. Let’s say you are correct about your hypothesis, then all mood disorders would be 100% cured by a pill that replaces, increases production of, eliminates, or decreases production of certain neurotransmitters (see serotonin, neuroepinephrine, etc) which they CAN do.

  • @NegativeZero21 WOW you are assuming i am getting my information from a COMMERCIAL??? I believe that ALLLL processes that our bodies carry out are series chemical reactions because that is what i have learned in my molecular biology class.

the reactions are not completely understood by anyone and are very complex THAT is why they cannot be cured my a pill

  • @ghjurx452 So, in conclusion emotions guide human behavior and protect us (among other things as well). How is that insignificant? Are you limiting your argument to biochemistry which only takes a look at part of the human phenomenon of emotion? I’ve studied that aspect of it and I’m telling you that there’s more to it than that. I left biology because of its inability to explain things such as emotion, cognition, and personality. Is biology your area of study? If not, what is?

  • @ghjurx452 Let’s use acrophobia as an example. Someone who is afraid of heights would have a LOT more going on chemically than, say, a stunt man who jumps off of buildings for a living. The chemicals (see adrenaline) are in the system to protect (see sympathetic nervous system) both people. Explain the difference as to why the adrenaline levels would be different WITHOUT using fear (an emotion).

  • @ghjurx452 You’re right. Everything that happens in our body is a biochemical and neurological process, that’s not the debate. But my point is: that’s the effect, not the cause. If the formula for human behavior was Stimuli->behavior then we would all have the same amount of chemicals dumped into our system from the same stimuli and have the same reaction.

  • @ghjurx452 No, I didn’t say that. I said you’re submitting to the same beliefs. In any case, that’s not the point. Let’s clarify something first, what exactly do you mean by “meaning” then? Something other than significance?

  • Comment removed

  • @ghjurx452 That’s just one theory and a very simplistic argument I’m using for now, but I’d be more than happy to share a more detailed explanation of that happens when the sympathetic nervous system kicks in. That is one way in which emotions have “meaning”…they guide you. You can’t tell me that you’ve never felt an emotion that has lead you to do something, can you? I think anger is an easy emotion to demonstrate that point.

  • @NegativeZero21 so in this comment you are asserting that: emotions "guide" us to do something, therefore they have meaning

I do not see how this follows.

  • @ghjurx452 What those commercials fail to mention is the order of events. Did the chemical change cause the emotional problems or did the problems cause the chemical change? Borrowing some philosophy from CBT, the order of operations goes Event>thought>feeling>behavior. Let’s use an explosion as an example here: Event (explosion)> Thought (HOLY S#*T)> Feeling (anxiety)>Behavior (ducking, moving to safety, crying like a baby, ninja techniques, etc).

  • @ghjurx452 Heck, listen to the commercials for these drugs “Depression MAY be caused by a chemical imbalance” < All of them say that. To look at it from another angle, you can change the chemical composition…and even the physical shape of your brain with thought processes and, yes, emotions. For example, if you are really stressed out over a period of time the part of your brain that stores some memory will shrink (see hippocampus).

  • @ghjurx452 The truth: the difference observed by these pills are no more effective than placebo time and time again. The slight and statistically insignificant increase in mood by treatment groups could be explained by another placebo….the side effects that one expects to experience on a true treatment drug. Thus, a study participant can be more certain that they are on a treatment drug, more likely to feel like it will help, and thus eliminate symptoms.

  • @ghjurx452 well what wtf do you call what you feel about emotions? emotions are probably the most meaningful thing in our existence, the force that drives the universe

  • cant decide who has better star wars or gladiator/pirates of the carribean

  • star wars .. best soundtrack ever :)
