i see what your trying to say and what you were thinking but the problem with oval tracks in general is the space they are confined to. If there had been no catch fencing that car would have rocketed into the spectator stands and would have made it an extremely difficult task for rescue crews to reach him. An obvious solution from a safety point of view would be to put in run off area similar to road courses, but then spectators are limited to there view.
that's the fastest a caution has ever been thrown i think. the wreck starts at 3 seconds and the caution is out before 5 seconds.
