Even for that time these were crap graphics. Soul Reaver 2 was released a year earlier and had better graphics than Blood Omen 2.

No, they weren't. You could see the characters like Moebius would tremble a lot. The developers of Blood Omen 2 put a shit load of effort in graphics, if you read their "developer's diary". The textures and environment were really done well in BO2. It fairs well with others video games back in 2002.

@VipericVampire just some info. eidos/IO has announce a new hitman game for 2011 release(earliest) which would be at least 5 years since the last game. Also they announce Thief 4 for an unknown date, which would be at least 6 or 7 years since the last. so if you notice they are going back to older titles, so we might get a new LOK, we just have to hope that square enix(who owns eidos now) doesnt ruin it
