  • Nice video. Have a 500 SEL myself. Nice thing , but "best car in world" is stretching it a bit.

An XJ Jag rides better, is smoother and quieter but build quality doesn't come close to W126's.

Bentley Turbo R (Red label) is the car I have in my sights. I'll have one , one day!

  • 1:00-2:00 whats this music?!?!

  • Nice vid.

My 560 SEL is coming soon to the Netherlands.

    White with Burgundy int.

Do you still own those 2?

  • I got a hand me down 1987 420 sel just last week. The gas milage is nasty but I really love it, its fast, it looks good, and its got class. Way better than my old plymouth.

  • I was thinking on getting a 420. How bad is the gas millage? Would I be able to get 20 miles to a gallon?

  • more like 15

  • Noooooooooooooooooooo! :D

No worries, I'll just convert it to a 3.2 Diesel from a 2006 Eco CDI :D

    45mpg then :D

  • you own some very nice cars! still, I like SEC better. No, I LOVE 560sec!

  • the music ruins the whole video

  • you realy shouldn't bring the one with blowing tires!

  • The best car ever made, I have 380 SEC and love it

  • i have always liked w126 mercs

  • the sec verisons og these are better looking tho'

  • 1:32 was nice

  • i own one of these bad boys. check out my video. but i saw one in there that i really liked. it was black with rims and it was in a factory. u know were i could get my hands on another one liek that. my uncle originally bought the one i own in Germany. bought it just like that . then added much more things. i think it drives better and smoother then most cars that i own

  • i drive a w126 560sel. i love the car. i soon put up a video and pics in it. i love the car. but unfortunately its in europe and i am in america lol. but i really wanan get a new one. if any body knows any one who would sell a nice condition one. let me know.

  • try, ebay. Or just go to a mercedes benz dealership. They perhaps will have have one, or find one for you, thats in petty good shape. The deaership near me has nice mint cond. ones. BUT WTF by OLD?

  • People buy the old ones for their reliability and classic style. There's not a car being produced today that has that kind of elegance about it. Twenty-five years after production, and 300,000+ miles later, the diesels are still going like they're new, and the gassers aren't too much harder to keep up.

  • Some people see these cars as more attractively styled and better looking than any modern junk. And it's a fair argument that they'll last ANOTHER 25 years on top of their first 25... let's see these new cheap cars last that long. Probably won't even make it the FIRST 25 years.

In other words, people buy old cars like these because they were made better and have more life left in them to this day than a new off-the-lot car has.

  • thats true broother. my benz has 250000klm. and runs like new. its has all those things that a new benz would have, but they will never make them like they did 25 years ago. mines is a 1989 500sel euro wit amgs parts, amg suspension

  • :P

um, how much is that in miles? sorry for stupid Q.

sounds like you've one hell of a ride man!

  • dude i wouldn't know, but i know its a lot and it runs like new bro. if u want check out my videos, i will upload more as soon as i go back to europe. i love that car, and i am going to eat alot more stuff.

  • naw, they will last hundreds of years.

but once again, right on bro!!!

  • right on bro! gotta love them w126's, great reliability, tough as tanks, lol funny thing is Volvo's are the same, my grand parents own a very nice Volvo from 1979, and I ridden in new Volvo's and I have to say, the new ones are a load of twat with absolutely no resale value whatsoever.

  • well i say any german auto is nice

  • Is that a clip for a movie at the start? If so someone please tell me the name. I love the w126 still looks amazing after all these years.

  • are these cars reliable after twenty yrs?

  • Yes

  • hell fuckin yeah they are bro!

  • Great video. I drive a w126 300se, its amazing, been going strong for 20 years and it looks like it could go for another 20 with no problem. They dont make them like this any more, thats for sure.

  • Once you drive a Mercedes W126, you realize how crappy the rest of the cars look. Even many new models can´t hold a candle to these superb cars made by Mercedes over 20 years ago. The have no equal.

  • Well said. I own and drive a 500SEC and most other cars pale in comparison, except other Mercedes and BMW.

  • damn fine automobile, i have a W140 but i still want a W126...

  • the last car in the video before the slideshow starts was an W124, right?

  • no, all of the car's are w126

  • you can tell by the shape of the side mirrors: the car dangling over the abyss has equal ones on both sides whereas the mirrors on a w124 differ fromn right to left.

  • nice 007 scene. its about time he drove a man's car!

(i have one just like the blk venz that was crashed)

  • Yours is the nicest one in the whole line-up, congrats!

    Groeten uit België.

  • Those who own a 126 and have driven them know they are the best. And the "CRITICS" are nothing but "JEALOUS".

  • same here i own a mercedes w126 300se 1989 White but dads selling it for the latest mercedes which i think is a nice model but not as nice as the w126!!!

  • The dark blue one with the USA style bumpers is an original 300sd from New Jersey.

  • As a proud owner of a 1984 300SD I say THANK YOU for such great review of the 126! Of course - you should have featured more diesels! But hey, noone's perfect! :)

  • very nice pictures

    best cars german cars

  • Nice Video+Pic Collection! Thanks for sharing!
