HG 1/144 Gundam Exia

I used to do a lot of Gundam models as a kid. Never painted, glued, or anything. I just bought this model to get back into it and I'm kind of nervous, because I don't wanna fuck it up. Do you use model paint or those Gundam markers?

I like to prefer the HG and NG 1/100 models because I don't have to deal with all the screws going missing and all the inner frame parts I have to assemble. The 1/100 NG models have even way better articulation than the PG and MG models. The MG Gundam Musha had WAY too many unnecessary inner frame parts, like a pneumatic system inside the leg frame, c'mon, who want's to built that? xD

i've tried with the 00 gundam that i built later, it's awesome but for the Exia, i sticked special stickers and i don't want cover it , so i didn't paint it

I am building the HG 1/144 00 Gundam presently, and I'm going to upload a movie on it too. The joints of 00 gundam are way more flexible! while I put more effort on it than exia, I think it's better than the Exia. You will see

choose yourself, gundam throne zwei looks better I think, unlike the design of gundam exia, but because gundam exia is the protagonist of the whole animation, and also after finishing the model you will find it cool too. so i think they are same

If you get 1/144 scale, high grade or not u must paint them and outline the machine panels otherwise it would look like garbage.

I agree. Even if you don't paint/airbrush the model, panel lining always enhances the model's appearance.

No its just that u missed out alot of older gundam series. I shud try and watch Wing and G gundam is u can get over the graphics. They were really good but now i like 00 best :P

FG (First Grade) models are really bad.

You're lucky if there are even two different colors of plastic, and the articulation is a joke.

the new first grade models have a few colours, sometimes even 5, but your right about the articulation, the ones from the seed and seed destinys arms and legs dont move

you mean the beam swords..? if yes, it does.. it has 2 beams daggers and 2 beam swords..

With the HG 1/144 Exia model, you get handles for 4 different beam sabers/daggers with no beams supplied (stored on shoulders and rear skirt armor). You get one beam saber with the blade out, but it's all one white piece. Then, you get a GN short & long blade (2 swords stored on hips). Finally you get the large GN sword attatched to the right arm, capable of transforming into beam rifle mode. Hope that helps.

FG and HG is the same scale 1/144 but HG(highgrade)is more details and FG(firstgrade)has only i little details si it's cheap. HG exia only have 3 colors without stickers.So it's better if you color it. If you are a beginner, you can start from FG to practice your skills, but if you want to buy only 1 gundam for collection, you can buy HG because it has good appearance even you don't color it.
