Further there were some individual games on older consoles that had a device like the Wii mote. In a general sense Nintendo is not innovative they're like the Apple of the console world. They and the fan-boys and girls say something is innovative but it's really not.

It was only similar to the Eyetoy in that they were both cameras (something that neither can claim they invented). @BIGBMH The PS1 had a motion controller that worked with the PS1 Warhawk, which was essentially the same thing as six-axis (PS3 and six-axis came out before the Wii). And the PS2 Eyetoy is basically Natal without the microphone or Peter Molonuex.

Nintendo's only real big hardware innovation was R.O.B. who they threw out after 2 games. They only survived because of nostalgia and they are like the Apache's, they took the land none of the other tribes wanted.
