hello RTs3Guru i was wondering if you (or anyone else) know how to clean a walther lgr compressed airgun its really old i think more than 5 years without cleaning
Hey I was wondering if you could use any air gun oil on a leather seal. My gun has one and it seed to oil it with a vegetable base oil but I don't have any.
We have them in stock for individuals to purchase. Just go to the Umarex USA website and search for "RWS Air Gun Accessories" or "RWS Shooters Kits". (without the quotation marks, of course)
I don't have a cleaning rod and neither do I have that cloth looking thing which the guy pushed through the barrel, what can I do to replace them or where can i buy them from?

i love loading plastic bb's into my air rifle with my friend and we shoot at each other like a mini war, but your to boring for that. is it beacuse your old or a safety freak? no it's both.
Yeah I agree. That cleaning rod looks dangerous. It could do some major damage if it went into your retina, penetrated the back of your skull, pierced a neighbor and set off a nuke in Alabama.
i have a beeman p17 air pistol, would i clean the barrel of it the same way? or is there a specific way of cleaning handguns? because with mine, i have to pull the slide up, in order to load the pellet, so can i clean it the same way as you showed here?
We do not recommend anything that is not designed for air guns, especially avoid petroleum based gun oils. Oils not designed for spring guns will diesel causing damage to the gun.
can i clean my rifle with WD40? also i cant get the 4.5mm/.177 cleaining rod in any of my local gun shops and my .22LR does not fit in so what i do is shoot a cupple of cotton balls through it.
DO NOT use WD40. Use oils made for airguns. You can order the oils and a .177 cleaning rod and felt pellets online. There are several airgun web sites including umarexusa com.
Our master gunsmith would tear you a new one if he knew you were using WD40. Suggest cleaning it with gun solvent to get all the WD40 out and using airgun oil. Don't know about that phantom. Have it checked out.
i got mine at bass pro the same one they are using and it is roughly 45 dollars it comes with the oils jag brush cleaning rod needle thing targets and a total of 500 pellets
good info. I recently bought my first break-barrel (Diana 350 Magnum). At first I didn't like it, but it really grows on you. Now, it's my favorite.
I like to maintain all my guns properly, and these videos (100 and 1000 shot maintenance) help a lot. Thanks.

OT, that Glenn guy has a bit of a Ryan Stiles thing happening.
Back on topic, why is there always someone who feels the need to question safety procedures???

Do you think a bore snake will work properly without damage to a PCP Airforce Edge?

you are a safety nerd, why do you need goggles? because the UNLOADED gun gun might shoot a pellet into you eye which a pair of goggles wont help!!
onionONtoast 2 years ago
Safety first my friend. Drops of oil can also get into your eye you know.

It would be best to consult the owner's manual on that one. I haven't cleaned a p17 to know.
RT3sGuru 2 years ago
@bloodwritten01 no need to clean it!

Is it un-safe to use it? I clean all my firearms with it and they work just fine.
Also my break barrel crosman phantom does not want to fully cock so I cant shoot it what gives?.

I think another thing to consider about oils is whether they will damage the seals, cause them to swell, melt, crack, etc.
