  • I LIVE!!!! WERK!!

  • I like two of the albums better than Stevie Wonder's album. That being said, I dislike just about every album that is nominated these days.

  • i loved her she is so mdamn funny!!

  • Bette needs to host some of these boring ass award shows that are on today! She's so natural with perfect timing!

  • That's a fascinator!

  • she's very lovely

  • I love the hat record!

  • John Denver + Paul McCartney + Elton John + Joni Mitchell + Stevie Wonder. Why don't the Grammys ever seem this good now? Ugh.

  • my lord look at the amazing albums up for the award that year - compared to the shite being made today -

  • Lovely tits

  • What's with Bette's headgear? Did Odd Job miss?

  • @cosg9531 thats cold, man

  • I miss her bit tits and small waist.

  • this woman is amazing. the best presenter i ve been seen, so daring so bold, she is definitely a Gay Man born in a woman's body. One of a kind for sure

  • Why is she not paid One Million Dollars to Be The Host of EveryThing. To Host The Oscars. To Host Everything. This Big Amazing Star. This Woman. The Hostess. The Very Best Of The Best Ever. BetteM.

  • this was pure fun, and all of the artists up for nomination, great!

  • Damn look how skinny she is! I like her better with a few extra pounds.

  • That ain' Stevie's daddy. That's Don King BEFORE the troll hairdo before he managed The Jacksons and before he managed Mike Tyson. I guess he managed Stevie at one point, too.

  • bette could be "tacky" back in the day, dissing just about anybody and everybody in her live performances-including people in the audience. her pot shots at karen were all in fun, though in later years she did have regrets and made her apologies. bette was and remains a very classy broad

  • Stevie Wonder is a God, Bette is a Goddess and this was a fun awards speech.

  • who taught her how to be a drag queen? she was wonderful. and who told her not to do drag anymore. kill whoever it was.

  • LMAO Stevie Wonder is boss!

  • I SERIOUSLY DOUBT Cher could fill the TOP of that dress, BETTE!

  • Bette is hilarious. Stevie is so cool.

  • hahaha @1:21 "if that ain't the kiss of death hunee...i don't know what is!"

  • wow... the grammys USED TO BE so much style, class, & humour. where did it all go? we should ask clive davis...

  • I'm surprised that "Caribou" was nominated for album of the year, probably EJ's weakest album pre 1976.

  • She should not comment about Karen Carpenter. It was just one of a number of similar comments she made about her. Sting has a habit of doing this as well. They should just do what they do and let other people do what they do, we dont all want to listen to Midler or Sting.

  • @simonsmatthew Her comment was not about Karen Carpenter. She was making a joke about the slide her own career took after receiving the Best New Artist grammy ....which happened to have been presented to her by Karen Carpenter.

  • @simonsmatthew Her comment was not about Karen Carpenter. It was about the slide her own career took after being awarded the Grammy for best new artist....which happend to have been presented to her by Karen Carpenter..... btw...Karen Carpenter didn't die until 1983, so if you are thinking that the comment was a tasteless reference to Karen's passing...clearly you are wrong.

  • @simonsmatthew Karen didn't take offensive to that comment. She took it in stride. I remember reading about her friendship with Bette Midler and that subject was mentioned. However, Richard wasn't too keen with Bette though.

  • @rbsvy91368 For sure and although millions of people watch these things and they certainly can be fun (often for the wrong reasons), awards shows like this are really just part of the absurdity of our times. Its about showing off, egos, and pretty clothes. It has very little to do with music and how good you are at the craft of making it, and everything to do with the music industry. But what the hec...

  • i love bette so funny, but what was with the cher comment about???

  • @lilchuy01 Bette and Elton John appeared in the CHER show special that launched CHER's solo return to variety show television in 1975 and no CHER did not give her a solo number or Elton for that matter....

  • DAMN!!!!!!!!!! Every album hear is classic man......

Stevie, Elton, Paul & Joni are some of my favorite musicians!

I Also have an aprrecian for Mr.Denver! man..... just great music back then

  • I love Bette but was in bad taste what she said about Karen Carpenter

  • @CMCHRYSLERVALIANT i agree,,,i hate what she said over Karen Carpenter..

  • @aprilshey16

This is a tape from 35 years ago, folks. At that time, different artists had different "social" and peer standing than they do now. In the context of February 1975..what Bette said was very funny. The Carpenters had entered a horrible sales slump by 1974 after an astounding 5 year run.

  • @aprilshey16 the comment was not directed towards Karen....it was directed at herself because Bette had no big hits on the charts that year or a top 10 hit until she recorded The Rose in 1980.....so the joke was on Bette which means she can laugh at herself and that what makes her brilliant :o)

  • @somethingj im reffering to the clip 1:32

  • Elton or Paul should have won.

  • "It's Cher's. she didn't give me a solo, so she gave me a dress." Who knew 35 years later...

    LOVE Bette!

  • Bette midler is amazing, ICON GAY!

  • I love Stevie Wonder! He's the finest man on the planet!!!!

  • Stevie Wonder did have a kick-ass album, just like Innervisions and Talking Book before it, FFF was another classic album that still sounds head and shoulders above most pop, rock, soul records -- not that Band on the Run wasn't great ... or Court and Spark, or even the Elton John Denver records they were good too. Stevie Wonder was in a class by himself at the time ... living legend.

  • lmao! She has a 45 on her head... xD

So Stevie won two years in a row? That's impressive.

  • It's so funny. When she did this two years later. he won the same award again. he must be a true legend!

  • @wackojacko13

    He IS a true Legend.

  • @tygersflowerz Actually Stevie Wonder is the only artist in the history of the Grammy's 2 win "Album Of The Year three times in a row. Stevie Wonder=G.O.A.T.

  • OooohMG!! I'm just now watching these grammy awards....ALL the artists nominated were music Gods! Every album was a masterpiece in its day and STILL today! The music in the 70's was ground breaking and to be cheerished forever!

  • i was born in 1974. I'm so proud. i love the 70's music and bell bottoms!

  • high as a kite.

  • I agree, Bette is a real entertainer!

  • @chanpara

    and she never aged!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Bette Midler is a delightful performer. She's always a joy to watch.
