The highest chip AMD offers is the 3.4Ghz L3 6GB cache chip for just over $200, although the i7 has 2GB cache more, the AMD can still be clocked faster and thats what its all about. How fast a chip can run, or at least thats what I look at.

I'm not talking about anything other than speed. Both are quad cores. AMD offers there 3.4 and the i7 is simply 3.33. Some people might tell me there is a 3.46 Intel i5, but thats a dual core. So again it is not beaten. If you downclock where both are the same, then its equal. One does not beat the other.

So what your saying is any processor AMD produces which has a higher Ghz than Intel will beat it. Intel is always 20% faster clock for clock. That is why AMD clocked them so high. Wonder why their Phenom 2.3-2.8ghz were being Destroyed by Intel's Dual core's? They had to revision their whole phenom core inorder to compete!
