More Americans should protest their govt war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan, just as they protested during Vietnam. ! million protesters marched to Washington DC and forced the Nixon govt to end the unjust war against the Vietnamese. If you don't believe me, then go visit the War Remnants Museum at Ho Chi Minh City, the only place that seeks to collect, study and document US war crimes. It is very enlightening to the the actions of US imperialism and I am not even a communist.
Is that the young fascist group? Kind of a small protest for NYC? What exactly are they "protesting"? Why are they slandering Robert Kerrey who lost a leg in Vietnam fighting for his country?
I love it when spoiled little pukes can use the very rights people like Sen Kerry fought and lost a limb for to spit on him. It is no different than the filthy hippies from the vietnam era.
i think you need to know what your protesting against, bob kerrey took responsibility of the things that went wrong when he was in vietnam ,but you wernt in that situation, and you dont know what went on over there, and you dont get anywere protesting like that, protesting againts violence with violence?????? and a great use of the english vocabualry at least you know all your cuss words!!! you must be very proud!!!

New School is a liberal trash heap of rich, pro-communist thugs who's goal is not "democracy" as they preach, rather liberal totalarianism. (They don't know the difference.)
These New York City liberals are not intelligent enough to direct their energy towards a conscientious program that is benefical for the U.S. as a whole. So, what better way to make the news than by simply making loud noise.
Most New Yorkers will not join this pile of manure. They want to shovel it out!
While I'm unsure what this protest solved, I think your comment is pretty harsh. I went to Parsons, and I don't fit any of those adjectives. You paint with a very broad brush. I think there are "activists" like them on college campuses across the country, but of course not everyone at one school is exactly the same way.
I go to the New School and know that this occupation you speak of didn't really have an affect on anything. No one was being violent or forceful to you...the school let you stay in the cafeteria and then proceed to destroy property. You are lucky no one was arrested. All it does is show the immaturity of the student body that is participating. The mob mentality that was held for this sit-in was so silly and I bet half the people had no idea why they were doing it.
So instead of using proper methods for change, you decided to hold a lame riot where nothing was really done aside from a bunch of trust fund yuppies chanting lame 'unity' slogans and littering? Have fun at your $40,000 dollar a year school run by a 'war criminal'.War is war cry about it grow up. OR stop being yuppie scum and actually do something productive in the situation. These are the kind of people who break the law and then try to sue when the police use force to get them under control.
The students demands were met. The occupation worked. Now students will have more say on what happens at their OWN school. Those in power will not give up their agenda without a fight. The students were up against a violent and forceful state. Force is not only justified its crucial when they own the guns. We are not each other's enemy. We share a common enemy. Join our fight, if not, you are on their side. No room for fence sitters. Get used to it. This is only the beginning.
Language like, "With us or against us" is dangerous, one should perhaps take caution making such an assertion. Unless you wish to advocate for homogeneity as opposed to a diversity of ideas and views as well as the academic freedom associated with freedom of ideas.
id be embarrassed to be in that crowd. its just a bunch of pansies with cracking voices shouting stupid chants and wrecking city property that they paid for in the first place.
you're all so hopped up on adrenaline and excitement from your first "rebellion" since you moved out of mommies and daddies that you don't realize how dumb you all look and sound.

My words are not harsh. You're just weak.
This protest is just New Shool's liberal pro-communists whining. They want their 5 minutes of glory.
Read New School's program to found out what they supposedly stand for & preach. Then, take a look at what they actually do.
njattack 3 years ago
and again you just made a bunch of generalizations about a school that has as diverse a community as any other.

Its sad that thees enemies of the state don't get shot down like plotting terrorists would.
If you take a step back and look at it, its actually unplanned terrorism. Riots should be quelled with gunfire.
Jockberg 3 years ago
everythings terrorism, propaganda and semantics make that possible.
dissent is patriotic. without these protests and riots our nation would never have been formed, let alone had any problems fixed.
